They reached Jacksonville and switched cars—Miles was left to dispose of the other car and thanked handsomely for his troubles.

"You got the money now keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for you," Saul told him as they tossed the suitcases into the Honda. Miles nodded, "I'm not a rat, sir."

"Good man," Saul slapped him on the shoulder and climbed into the car with Sophie, heading off into the dark of night.

Saul had slept a bit on their way to Jacksonville so he was wide awake, but so was Sophie.

"I can drive for a little while," Sophie said, sleepily. Her voice was soft and distant.

"No, it's OK, baby. You sleep," Saul told her, "It won't be too much longer now."

It felt like days, but from Jacksonville, it was only about a 7 hour drive to the little cabin on the Mobile bayou—nestled deep in the swampy wilderness of the Alabama coast.

"Is this it?" Sophie looked up and at the tiny little place and fell in love instantly.

"Yes,"Saul told her, as he looked around cautiously for anything that could jump out of the darkness. He'd loaded up on weapons and ammo, but Fredo said the little house was also chock full of necessities and he'd made sure of that a week prior.

"Stay here," Saul said, "Get your gun and make sure you keep an eye out. Anyone comes at you who doesn't announce themselves, shoot 'em."

Sophie did just that as Saul canvassed the area, then inside the house. He made his way back to the car as soon as the area was cleared.

"It's so quiet out here," Sophie said as Saul lead her out of the car.

"Bet we could wake the dead with some screams, if you get me,"Saul wiggled his eyebrows.

"Oh, I'm sure we'll be making up for lost time soon, playboy!" She giggled as they took their stuff to the house and ventured inside.

"It's nice," Saul nodded, "Do you like it? Is it OK?"

Sophie sighed, "Saul, I'd live in a box underneath a bridge with you and my happiness cup would be full."

He pulled her into him and kissed her, "I missed you so much. I couldn't think about anything else except getting you out of that house."

"Sure you weren't with Caliope or Darlene?" She joked, the blonde wig slipping off, "I am not a blonde, but they are."

"Oh yes...all I can think about is Caliope and Darlene," He held her close, "No one ever touched me like you do, Sophie. It was all just fucking to them. Even the first time we had sex, I felt like you were making love to me. You gave me everything you had."

"You've always pleased me, Saul, and I don't mean just because you're good at it," She blushed, her cheeks turning every shade of pink and red, "But you figured me out because you wanted to."

"Are you tired? Hungry?" Saul asked as he slipped away to look in the small kitchen.

"I could use a drink," Sophie smiled, "A hard one at that."

"I gotta hard one for you," Saul entered the living room space again and handed her a beer.

"You are a perv."

"But you love me."

Sophie sipped on her beverage, "Yes, I do."

"We gotta break in the bed, Sophie,"Saul told her, "You know that."

"I do and I plan on breaking in every part of this house with you, Saul," She sat down on the couch as Saul followed her lead.

"I let Vito know everything," Saul said, putting an arm around her shoulders, "He's going to relay the messages to Suzy."
