They splashed around for a while.
Sophie couldn't remember the last time she felt that free--even at her enemies house.
Gio and his wife, Felicity, brought their three kids, Georgie, Santino and Francesca, and they just couldn’t get enough of Sophie. Frank and pregnant wife, Myra, were also there. Myra and Felicity delighted in speaking to Sophie. They liked the young Swann.
“Are you ready to fly again?” Sophie had Georgie on her shoulders. The little six year old squealed with delight, “You gotta let me know or I’m just gonna toss you away!”
“I’m ready!” Georgie laughed.
“One, two, three!!!” Sophie gently tossed Georgie off as he splashed into the water, bobbing back up again.
“Sophie? Are you really a swan?” Francesca asked her, while she kicked around her in her little floaties.
“Well, my last name is Swann,“Sophie said, “With two n’s, but I am no swan.”
“Swans can be mean though.” Georgie snorted.
“Huh, then I just might a swan,” Sophie pretended to growl at her and Francesca yelped.
“You’re nice!” The little girl said, “Are you going to marry my Uncle Saul?”
Saul was sitting on the side of the pool and close enough to where he heard his niece. His head shot up and he glanced at Francesca and then to Sophie.
“No, honey, I’m not,” Sophie said.
“Why not? He’s a nice guy!” Georgie argued.
Sophie bobbed up and down in the pool as 9 year old Santino swam towards her, “You could be our aunt.”
“I, uh, have to marry someone else, my dude,” Sophie swallowed hard. Saul intervened.
“All right, guys, no more bothering Sophie.”
“Yes, sir....”
“They’re not a bother,” Sophie smiled, “I have to put up with Suzy.” she mused about her younger sister, Suzette. Suzy was only about two years younger than Sophie, but she was a wild child and probably Sophie’s best friend.
Saul wasn’t really hushing the kids for Sophie. He didn’t want to hear about her marriage alliance with Joe Crane.
Fucking Joe Crane.
He couldn’t even begin to think of her having kids with him much less having sex with him.
Shit, what did he care? She was a Swann.
But she felt so good...
They spent a good few hours in the pool before the little yawns began.
Felicity waved the children in as Gio dried them off.
Sophie swam over to Saul as he stayed seated on the ledge, his muscular legs dangling over the edge and into the water.
She folded her arms across the ledge and held on, watching the rest of the family get ready to go in.
“Bye Sophie!” The kids called, “We’ll see you tomorrow!”
Sophie waved, smiling, “Thanks for the suit, Felecity!”
“No prob,“Felecity smiled as she ushered the children away from the pool area.
“Make sure the system’s are on before you go to bed, Saul,” Alexander told him as if he ever needed reminding
“Yes sir,” he nodded, saluting him.
“Goodnight, you two,” Loretta said.
“Thanks for letting me swim,” Sophie said.
