My Sweet Valentine

First date

Just like he said, days went by and I didn't see Ron. Graduation was coming up and he needed to stay on top. Fortunately, the weekend was also close, so I will enjoy it with him. I have already announced to Lotty that I want Ron to sleep over with us again. Viper gave me the day off so I really didn't know what to do. I cleaned the house thoroughly and cooked lunch for Lotty. The phone rang.

"House Blackwood." I said.

"Is this the number of Cinderella's castle?" Ron said seriously from the other end.

"Hey honey. Nice to hear from you. How are you?" I told him and sat down on the coffee table next to the phone. I played with the cable, waiting for his answer.

"I'm exhausted. Honestly, I don't know if there's a part of my body that doesn't hurt. Ice is destroyed, too. We don't stop flying."

"Ron, please at least eat something and drink something."

"I'll try. I have to go now. I love you." he said and hung up before I could say anything. In a panic, I looked for my notebook and found the Viper's number. I called and waited for him to accept the call.

"Commander Metcalf." he said firmly.

"Sir, it's Valentine. I wanted to ask your permission to bring sandwiches for the boys. Slider told me they have non-stop flight training. Of course if I may." I said nervously.

"Valentine, of course you can. I'll send someone to get you." she said and thanked him. I quickly put together the turkey sandwiches and picked up a bottle of water for everyone. I also made coffee in the teapot and put everything in a bag. A military vehicle arrived in front of the house and honked at me that it was there. Inside was Jester.

"Viper sent me. Ready?" he asked.

"Sure. Let's go." I said, and we were in front of the base in about ten minutes.

First, I entered Viper's office and left him a sandwich as well.

"Does your kindness have limits?" he asked me and accepted the sandwich. He gave me a big smile and told me to hurry to the hangar to the guys because they were having a short break. As soon as I arrived at the hangar running, the guys were sitting at the benches, exhausted.

"Hungry?" I asked them and raised the bag in the air.

"Valentine?" Ron asked me confused and walked up to me. He hugged me and kissed me quickly. I smiled and took out a sandwich and water for him from the bag. Tom, Hollywood, Wolfman, Goose and Maverick also got the same. They ate as if they had never had a meal in their lives.

"I also have coffee brewed. Maybe someone wants it?" I asked.

"God himself sent you." Goose said.

"And Viper approved. When I heard Ron, I couldn't just wait quietly at home. I called and asked if I could bring you this."

"Slider, she's a keeper. Hold her." Hollywood said with his mouth full.

"You're just lucky because I have the day off and Viper is in a good mood so he let me. I'll leave your coffee here." I told Hollywood, and they got a call that they had to go back to training. Tom told Ron to see me off and that he would wait for him.

"Honey, this was nice of you. Now I have the strength and will to continue." he said as we hurried towards the exit.

"Don't thank me. Just be careful. Do you have the handkerchief from last night?"

Ron patted his breast pocket. I smiled, and he put his arms around my shoulders and kissed my forehead. Jester was waiting for me outside to take me home. I kissed Ron and wished him luck. I looked over my shoulder at him running through the corridors of the base like a maniac.
I got into the car and soon we were in front of my house.
