Homework on a Saturday

It was a Saturday morning at Nevermore Academy. There were no classes and Enid was working on a paper that was due on Friday. The cat was asleep in her lap. The paper was assigned by the new Botanical Science Teacher, Mr. GraveHeart who was a witch doctor.

"Ugh I have to get this done by Friday morning or my grades will go down. Thing, Can you help me figure out what soil is best for deadly nightshade." Thing began typing and an answer popped up. "Lime-Rich soil. Thanks Thing." Enid said as she typed in her last answer and hit print. "Hey, Wednesday do you want to came with me to print this at the nightshade's library? But with me after what happened last night?" She said containing eye level with the feline as she nodded. "Good girl, Come on." She beckoned the cat to her shoulder. Wednesday climbed up to Enid's shoulder.

12:30 pm
They snuck down stairs to the lobby and head out to the court yard. When Enid stepped into the yard. It was empty because everyone was ether at the weather vain or studying in their dorm room. The two made it to the Poe statue and Enid snapped her fingers twice to gain entry. "Winnie, you stay here and keep watching to make sure no one enters Okay?" Enid says as the cat jumps down from her shoulder. The cat mews softly as Enid slowly walked into the library.

10 minutes later, Enid came out with the print of her work.
"Let's go back to the dorm before Thing gets worried." She says starting to walk back. When she looks back and Wednesday wasn't following her. "What Wrong, Winnie?" Enid said as she crouched down beside the cat. Suddenly the cat had a low growled as she saw a figure in the distance. "Winnie go back to the dorm and tell Thing to hide. I'll go to the headmaster's office." Enid quickly says to the cat as she nodded her and ran to the direction of the dorm.

"Headmaster Douglas?"

"Yes, Miss Sinclair, What is it?"

"We have an intruder in the courtyard."

"Was anyone out there when you saw this person?"

"No, just me. I when to print out my Botanical report when I saw a man who stared at me from the distance."

"I will let everyone know at once. You stay here and hide in the storage closet...."

Enid locked herself in the closet for her own safety.
"Attention everyone. Please listen carefully, There is an intruder on school grounds. Stay in your dorms and whatever you do Don't go outside. Please lock the doors and windows." He says hanging up the intercom and was about to hide under his desk when the intruder opened the window more and stepped inside.
