24. Blame Yourself

Jon picked up bones off the Colosseum floor examining the remains of what once was.

'No one is less happy about this than I am' jon said as Dany approached him

'I know' Daenerys told him 'I respect what you did, I wish you hadn't done it but I respect it. This place was the beginning of the end for my family,' she told him taking the bone from him 'a dragon is not a slave they were terrifying extraordinary they filled people with wonder and awe and we locked them in here they wasted away... they grew small and we grow small as well... we weren't extraordinary without them we were just like everyone,' else she handed him back the jaw bone.

'You are not like everyone else. You are still here' jon reminded her.

'I can't have children' Dany admitted.

'Who told you that?'

'The witch who took my husband'

That oerked oceanas interest. It was a reason she would never bow to daenerys targaryen. Rightful queen or not. She went against drogos wishes and brought a witch into drogos life. Brought magic into his home and it got him killed.

Daenerys targaryen didnt know drogo at all.

Oceana did. She wished she had fought harder to keep him. Gods she wished he was still here. He was the best thing in her life and then Sanrogue became her sunshine.

Drogo was stolen from her twice it seemed.

If she could have oretended that he was live somewhere and happy or at least missing her terribly still then she could have been fine. But dead. By a witch. It fueled her rage towards daenerys all the more.

'Did you ever think she might not be a reliable source?' jon offered

'You were right from the beginning if I trusted you everything would've been different' daenerys said blaming herself. Oceana was glad she blamed herself. She was a coward that didnt want to save them. That wanted to hide. That wasnt the future queen that was a dull minded stable hand kicked one too many times in the head by a horse.

'So what now?' Jon asked

'I can't forget what I saw north of the wall and I cannot think that cersei won't take back what we took if we go north of the wall.' Daenerys admitted.

'We are fucked' jon decided.

"The witch you enlisted." Oceana recalled.

"He was dying. I was trying to save him."

"He didnt have that problem when I was his wife." Oceana remarked. Sandor pulled Oceana back.

"Control your girl." Sandor grumbled at Jorah.

"You have my girl." Jorah corrected.

"You brought his death. I hope you blame yourself." Oceana rasped as sandor covered her mouth with his hand.

"O. Stop." Sandor begged.

"She killed him." Oceana whispered shaking her head. "She wants the world but she kills the world."

Tyrion came walking up alone then moments later Cersei, and Jaime and their army marched with them. cersei approached daenerys, everyone turning to face the two queens oceana wanted to groan.

Daenerys was going to get what she wanted because others got her what she wanted. Not because she did anything

'My armies will not stand down I will not pull them back to the capital I will march them north to fight alongside you in the great war' cersei told her 'the darkness is coming for us all we will face it together and the great war is over perhaps you remember I chose to help no promises or assurances from any of you.' Cersei told them, she turned back to her men. 'Call our banners, all of them.'
