'Hello.'

'- What are you doing?' Jorah questioned as sam closed the door.

'You're Jorah Mormont, the only son of Jeor Mormont. My name is Samwell Tarly, Sworn Brother of the Night's Watch, training to serve as maester at Castle Black. I knew your father. I was with him when he died. You are not dying today, Ser Jorah. Drink this.' Sam instructed

' What is it?' jorah asked looking into the cup. Oceana sat up rubbing at her eyes. She refused to leave him although he begged her to go, he didnt want her to see him wither.

'Rum. Drink it all, please. I'm afraid this is going to hurt.' Sam told him and Jorah drank it down a cough escaped his lips.

"You know drogo would have laughed at you for not being able to hold your liquor." Oceana mused touching his cheek.

'If you could take off your shirt.' Sam requested.  Jorah obliged his greyscale had spread, he didnt let oceana see the progress but he felt it. ''If you wouldn't mind, bite down hard. I'm sorry, but no one knows I'm here, and if they hear you screaming, then we're both finished.''

'Have you ever done this before?' Jorah questioned.

'No. But no one else will try it, so I'm the best you've got. Have a seat. I'm going to have to remove the entire upper layer of infected tissue, then apply a medicinal ointment to the...' sam began and Jorah started groaning in pain. Oceana cringed but grabbed his hand. San covered his ears shaking his head.  '- Shh, shh! Shh. Again, I'm sorry, but please try not to scream.' Jorah continued to groan, sam continued to shush and but he didn't scream, he groaned and whimpered as Sam cut away the infected skin.

"It's okay." Oceana whispered, silent tears falling down his face. "He's going to fix you and then we have an eternity." She promised kissing his cheek.

'A raven, my king, from the Citadel.'

'This message was sent to me by Samwell Tarly. He was my brother at the Night's Watch, a man I trust as much as anyone in this world. He's discovered proof that Dragonstone sits on a mountain of dragonglass.' Jon exclaimed reading it out loud. There was a murmured excitement. 'I received this a few days ago from Dragonstone. It was sent to me by Tyrion Lannister.' Jon went on 'He is now Hand of the Queen to Daenerys Targaryen. She intends to take the Iron Throne from Cersei Lannister. She has a powerful army at her back and, if this message is to be believed, three dragons.'

'Lord Tyrion has invited me to Dragonstone to meet with Daenerys. And I'm going to accept.' Jon told them and there was an out rage from his people.

'Accept?!'

'We need this dragonglass, my lords! We know that dragonglass can destroy both white walkers and their army. We need to mine it and turn it into waapon. But more importantly, we need allies! The Night King's army grows larger by the day. We can't defeat them on our own. We don't have the numbers. Daenerys has her own army and she has dragonfire. I need to try and persuade her to fight with us. Ser Davos and I will ride for White Harbor tomorrow, then sail for Dragonstone.' Jon told them

'Have you forgotten what happened to our grandfather?' sansa reminded him. 'The Mad King invited him to King's Landing –'

'and roasted him alive!'

'- I know that. She is here to reclaim the Iron Throne and the Seven Kingdoms. The North is one of those seven kingdoms.' Jon told her.

'This isn't an invitation; it's a trap.'

'Does it hurt?'

'A bit. Less than before.' Jorah admitted. Oceana stared nervously, she longed to hold his hand but Jorah wanted to be sure.

''The infection no longer appears to be active.' Marwyn remarked. 'Unusual. Unlikely. One could almost be forgiven for thinking that the entire upper layer of diseased skin was debrided and the underlying region treated with some sort of ointment.'

'I Don't know anything about that. I just started feeling better. I assumed it was the rest that did it. And the climate.' Jorah told the maesters confidently. Sam nodded in agreement, considering he wasnt supposed to be doing this in the first place but Oceana was glad he did or else she would have lost Jorah.

'The climate...." Marwyn answered.  "You're free to go, ser.' Jorah stared at them, he was cured, he was free to go? 'This chamber is needed for the infectious, which you are no longer. Tarly, I'd like to speak with you in my study this evening.'

'How bad is it?' Jorah questioned putting back on his shirt but Oceana held him.

'Suppose I'll find out this evening.' Sam answered smiling back at them. 'Where will you go?' Sam asked as Jorah prepared to leave.

'I surrendered to this sickness the moment I first saw it. I knew it would kill me or I'd kill myself before it could. Oceana Clegane convinced me otherwise. The only place for me is with her. I owe her my life. Her and you.' Jorah told sam.

'Your father saved me more than once. It's the least I could do.' Sam remarked 'Perhaps our paths will cross again.'

'I hope they do.' Jorah agreed. "Ready to go Oceana?"

"Yeah." Oceana agreed kissing him. Jorah held tight to her, his tight ached but he loved the sensation her touch brought.

'You treated him?" Marwyn questioned

'Yes.' Sam admitted.

'Who told you to treat him?'

'No one.' Sam answered nervously.

'Who forbade you, or anyone, to attempt to treat him?'

'I seem to remember you.' Sam admitted.

'But you treated him anyway?'

'- I did, yes.'

'I forbade it because it is dangerous and rarely successful, especially on someone of that age. You could have infected yourself and others. You could have devastated the entire Citadel. But you didn't. It's a meticulous, difficult procedure. Many maesters whose chains are heavy with healing links have attempted it and failed. Yet you succeeded. How?'

'I read the books and followed the instructions.' Sam told him and he was glad he did because the look of love on Oceana's face was how he looked at Gilly. He would do it all over again to see that look of love in their eyes knowing they had a future.
