Adrenaline pumped through my veins as I stared wide eyed at what I could only describe as an alien, her blue skin seemed brighter thanks to the light of her ship and seemed to compliment her purple eyes. A dagger in hand, she stared back, looking as afraid as I felt.
"€3£alYn!" She yelled, the arm wielding the knife pointed at me.
"Look, I'm sure you mean well, and that dagger is nothing but a means of self defense, but just in case you came to take over earth you should totally let me live in peace." I surrendered, holding my hands in the air and giving her a sheepish smile as I began to back away slowly. She stared at me studiously, her unsettling gaze falling on my purple eye momentarily. We stood in silence until, in the blink of an eye, her dagger was put away and her sharpened canines were sunk into the soft, tender flesh of my arm.
A scream tore through my lips as I struggled to shove her face away, terror enveloping my mind as I fought for my freedom.I pounded my fist against her back weakly until she finally released my arm, allowing me to stumble back several steps. I whimpered in pain as blood dribbled down and fell onto the lawn.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?" I screamed, cradling my arm to my chest.
"Can you understand me?" She inquired, seemingly not bothered by the hits I had given her. Though I couldn't blame her, I've always been weak. Her voice was thick with an accent, but I still nearly rolled my eyes at the dumb question.
"Of course I can understand you, it's English." I paused and wiped some of the blood off with my thumb,
"I better not get rabies from you.""Rabies?" She inquired, confusion swirling in her eyes.
"This is not how the dreams went at all...." I needed to breathe. The anxiety from my reoccurring dream actually becoming reality weighed down on me, constricting my lungs from taking in much needed oxygen. My hand found its way to my throat as I tried my hardest breathe, slowly counting to ten in my head."What are you doing?" My gaze snapped to the alien -who I had forgotten was even there- to see her staring at me. I held up a single finger, a universal sign to wait, and focused on calming my breathing.
"Hyperventilating a little. I'm used to it."
"Hyper- what now?"
"Forget it. Are you going to tell me why you bit me?""It's the only way to understand your language."
"... Well, that explains why babies chew on fingers and stuff I guess." I momentarily worried about my family noticing the mark, as i'd have to wrap a small portion of my arm, until I realized as long as I wore long sleeves id be fine.
"So, I assume you're not here to take over the planet. What are you here for?""I'm here only by accident. I was on my way to a planet called €-4R-Th when my shuttle crashed." She explained, using what I assumed to be her home language to speak one of the words.
"E... ar.... Th.... Ea... rth... earth. Oh! This is earth, y'know, the planet with humans." I laughed awkwardly and pushed my hair away from my face.
"But... you don't look very human." She stared at me incredulously, confusion clearly written in her features.A pang of anger and sadness hit my heart at the similar term and I turned on my heels, making my my way back to the house.
"You don't either but you don't see me saying that." I huffed, crossing my arms as I continued making my way towards the house.
"Are you bringing me to your kingdom?"
"No. I'm going home. It's late, I'm exhausted. You are going to go back to wherever you came from, and I'll keep your secret.""Didn't you hear me? My shuttle crashed. Who knows how long it'll take to fix it."
"You have until morning."
Without turning around I waved to her and hurried the rest of the way home, my arm throbbing and my mind exhausted.
I snuck through the house quietly, hoping to not wake anyone, and went straight into the bathroom to wrap my arm. It was bleeding, just not as much, and who knows where that girls mouth has been. Tears began to surface as I wiped the blood away, my thoughts drifting to the previous conversation.Apparently I'm a freak, even to an extraterrestrial who's probably never actually seen a real human before...
I tried to move quickly to lower the chances of me being caught and -after the wound was wrapped and everything was put away- I went upstairs to the attic, and went to bed.
I sat quietly on the roof, journal in hand, as I stared into the night sky. Meteors sailed past earth with great speed, allowing me to enjoy the first meteor shower I'd ever seen, until it seemed one of them somehow got away, and was heading straight for earth.
My eyes widened as the giant space rock crashed into the ground on our property. In a pure burst of curiosity, I hurried through the house and sprinted towards the crash sight. Smoke rose from what I'd assumed to be a meteor, though I never realized meteors were like metal shuttles. My eyebrows furrowed as I got closer to it and a door of sorts opened, releasing more smoke into the air.
I watched in pure silence as five, blue skinned, purple eyed men in strange looking armor exited, all of them looking around before they finally noticed me and their eyes went wide."€¥Yaj?" One muttered, looking to the one in the front.
"¥^£. Th^+£ &3R." He responded, stepping closer and snatching my wrist.
"Let me go!" I screamed and fought, clawing at their faces and arms as they dragged me into their ship.
"This is illegal!"
"£|\3#<3."
The door shut behind us and they used some sort of bracelet type thing that reminded me of handcuffs to keep me in place with the leader while two of the others pressed buttons on the ships control panel. The shuttle shook horribly until finally it calmed down and I assumed we were flying to who knows where.A/N I feel like this last bit sucked but uh... here u go
