A/N B.C. Finally got back to me with this chapter ✨✨✨ it's long too, I convinced her to write a big one lol. Hopefully y'all like it, next chap is gonna be in Rune's POV again~

"What is a best friend?" I whispered to Juno. Juno laughed awkwardly, nudging me.
"You're such a jokester, Zahira"
I felt Juno's hestitance and slowly shiftrd away from her gaze as she began to talk to Quinnbestfriend.

This building was quite the sight, I didn't know humans came in different sizes!

I thought to myself as I was bombarded by them. I quickly got lost in the crowd and found myself looking for Juno, I was invisible here, it was peaceful. Before I knew it I was looking at everything there is too see in a building like that, the gold figures behind clear panes, green goo on the floor by the cyber rooms that smelled bad, spherical rubber comets that bounce on the service. I didn't know where I was going but I was sure I blended in, everyone gave me the looks Juno did when we first met! So kind of them. As quick as it came, it ended. I heard frantic yelling and the tingly feeling I get when Juno is nearby. I had forgotten to tell her I was going on a quest around the building, I'm sure she was worried now.

"ZAHIRA!" She yelled as she locked eyes with me. I waved with a smile.
"Greetings Juno, would you like to observe this beautiful liquid machine?" I said pushing the buttons,
"Look, it even stops at my command!" I let go of the buttons, feeling accomplished. Juno stood there speechless,  but I could feel her raging emotions. Quinnbestfriend was catching up behind her as she stared at me

She scoffed and facepalms.
"Yeah, um well that's how water fountains work," She then turned to Quinnbestfriend
"She's been homeschool for a while."

A loud ringing echoed through the hallway, piercing my sensitive ears and bringing forth an ache to the forefront of my mind.
I jumped at the loud noise, grabbing hold of Juno.
"Are you alright?" She quietly asked in my ear.
"What's the noise?!" I said, my head pounding with the sound
It stopped abruptly, and the halls were now cleared of people. Juno and Quinnbestfriend looked around before leading me into a room, Juno had given me these hard rectangle with flimsy cloth in the middle.

"Don't say anything, you have books and paper just sit beside me" She said as we walked in. Quinnbestfriend sat with Earthly guy in the back of the room. We infront of them, everyone looking at me. Juno said to always look down when entering a room with her, but everything was so beautiful and new, I could keep my smile away. She elbowed me again. "I said keep your head down" she said quietly through her teeth. Quinnbestfriend and Earthdude raised their eyebrows, Earthdude especially not liking her tone at me. I could feel everyone's emotion and reaction toward me, if was overwhelming and I looked down and started to breathe in and out slowly. The woman with glasses at the front of the class was distracted by me as well, but I assume If I stayed quiet I wouldn't draw attention.

Girls looked at me weirdly and the Guys stared. Everyone was passing crumbled balls of blue and red white cloths, I was nervous with this overall expirence. Juno stood from her seat and narrowed her eyes at the boys and girls in the room, her anger rising.
"Can y'all mind your own business for once? Have some respect for my friend here and pay attention." She plopped back in her seat with a huff.
"Can we get on with the lesson now?"

I couldn't handle the emotions anymore, with Juno yelling and the feelings of peers rising I put my hand on my chest and started to breathe louder. The teacher stopped and looked at the two of us, she brought her spectacles down from her face and raised a brow.
"To be fair," she said with an annoyed accent. "We've just never seen another girl with purple hair like you, it's almost as if you two were meant to be outsiders together!" She laughed audibly. My anger started to bubble and I could feel my eyes changing color, but still I contained it for the sake of Juno. Quinnbestfriend and Earthdude were visibly mad and now standing up.
Earthdude made his way up beside me, a glare shooting lasers at the woman.
"We're a group full of hormonal teenagers, if anyone's an outsider here it's you." He snapped, grabbing my arm and pulling me back towards the door.

I glanced back at Juno to find Quinnbestfriend dragging Juno behind us.
Earthdude, still grasping my hand opened the door at the end of the halls. There was a ladder attached to the wall and he let go. Taking off his jacket and putting it in his mouth, then climbing up. Quinnbestfriend and Juno also went up as if it was normal, I was scared and just stood there. I couldn't fly in public, Juno said. So I felt stuck. Earthguy popped his head to look at me. He stayed silent, as if he knew what I was thinking in my brain. He looked around quickly, then held out his hand to me. I grabbed it, not knowing what else to do he said.
"Put your foot on the bar." His deep voice echoing in my head. I nodded, repeating what the others had done before me. We got to the top, Earthguy looked at me as if he was going to say something, but before he could Juno gave him and glare and pulled me away.

"Since when did you start caring about the resident freaks in the school?" She inquired, not pulling her gaze away.
"Juno." Quinnbestfriend muttered, tugging lightly on her shirt to get her attention.
"No, I mean it. He allows everyone to suffer through bullying and then suddenly he randomly decides to be nice for once and help? I want to know why."

He stared blankly for a moment. "As football captain, I'm not going to sit there and listen to my peers being disrespected"
"Yeah? Well then why have you been doing it for the past two and a half years!? Y'know what, forget it. Leave us alone." Juno practically growled at Earthdude before pulling me back the way we came.
"One step at a time Zahira, you can float down too as long as you make it seem like you're walking down." She whispered to me, gesturing towards the step-y-thing.

"C'mon Juno-"
"Ah! No. Until you can come up with a good enough excuse to have completely ignored mine and everyone else's suffering you aren't to come near us. Not that I know why you even stood up today either but whatever. I'll get that outta you too."
