the tracker ninja disappeared with zabuza in their arms. you sighed in relief with the battle being finally over. heavy breathing was heard throughout the group, everyone exhausted from the fight.
you and your teammates were hyping each other up over what had just gone down. you caught kakashi's gaze and smiled at him. he smiled back gently before suddenly falling over and passing out.
"sensei!"
you rushed over to him and picked him up into your lap, trying to shake him awake.
"kakashi! sensei wake up! someone help me get him up!"
sasuke and naruto came over, picking kakashi up off your lap. tazuna suggested taking him back to his place.
everyone followed him to his house, sasuke and naruto dragging kakashi between them.
when you arrived at tazuna's house he decided to show you all around but you stayed back with kakashi.
he laid on a cot on the ground as you sat next to him. you couldn't help but admire his features as he slept. you had to resist the temptation to pull down his mask knowing it would be unethical.
even in his sleep this man is so beautiful.
night came around before you knew it. you didn't realize how much time had passed as you watched over kakashi.
everyone went to sleep in a separate room but you decided to stay with kakashi, wanting to be there when he woke up.
it was the next morning when kakashi came to. he groaned as he sat up and looked around. kakashi saw your sleeping figure next to him and couldn't help the small blush that rose to his cheeks.
tazuna's daughter walked in to check on kakashi and smiled at the way he was looking at you.
"waking up are you? do you feel alright?"
kakashi lightly jumped at the sound of another voice, hoping she didn't catch him staring at you.
"i've been better. it'll be another week before i start moving properly again."
"well it's better if you don't move for now, so lay back down."
kakashi nodded and laid back down. the sound of others, although quiet, managed to wake you up. initially, you attempted to go back to sleep but memories of kakashi passing out caused you to jolt up off your cot on the ground.
