You know what the biggest issue with carrying a 19 year old on your back for several blocks is? No one wants to fucking help you out. I hadn't realized it when leaving the bar but I had unconsciously left my bag behind. Meaning I didn't have any of my supplies including my phone. Ash is so gonna chew me out for this later. It felt as if time was slowing down as I could feel Eiji bleeding all over my arm. Where were the stifling crowds of New York when you need them? Finally I spot a police car up ahead and run towards it, hoping they are near and can me yelling for them.

"We need help! He needs medical attention!" I feel him stir on my back, I can only imagine how much pain he is in.

Two officers finally notice us and I can hear him calling for an ambulance. Gently as possible, I place Eiji on the ground with his back against the car. I can't leave him like this, but I also cant leave those guys behind. Eiji's eyes open, his voice comes out soft.

"Please, dont go.."

"Im not going anywhere, i made a promise to Ash."

As the ambulance turns the corner, i help get him inside it and stay by his side. The medics attended to his wound while i stayed and held his hand through it all. My thumb lightly tracing circles on his knuckle. The medics didn't ask me my relation to him at all. No one really questions who you are to someone when your wearing the suit.

The cold hallways of the hospital always give me the chills. The smell of cleaning solution and the endless beeping of everyones heartbeats sends goosebumps to my skin. I find nothing good comes from these sorts of places. Eiji was immediately taken in and all I could do was stay back and let the doctors do their work. Once he was safely in his room, I made eye contact with Jenkins and Charlie who are in the hallway waiting outside his room.

"What are you two doing here?! Shouldn't you be helping Ash?!" I couldn't hide my anger and frustration with the situation anymore, they shouldn't be standing around here. Jenkins doesn't try to hide that I crossed a line.

"Watch it kid, were here to talk to the boy and we brought his boss with us."
Peeking into the room, my eyes land on an older gentleman by Eiji's side, they seem to be in an intense conversation right now. Eiji notices me in the doorway, giving me a weak wave. He seems like a good guy, i just hope he doesn't get too wrapped up in whatever the hell we are getting into right now. I wave back in an attempt to show him 'hey! Im still here see!' Its not hard for me to see what Ash sees in this guy. Though it is surprising to find Ash so attached to someone else as quickly as he attached to him.

I feel something thrown at me, good thing my reflexes are so damn quick cause it would have hit me in the face. Instantly I realize its my backpack that I had left behind. Charlie speaks up first.

"You left this behind, may wanna be more careful Spiderwoman. Someone may figure out who you are."

It almost felt like a threat but I trust Charlie, I wouldn't be working with him if I didn't. Well actually I wouldn't be if Ash didn't trust them so much.

"Thanks, I should head out and check on the situation."

Just then I hear my phone go off in the front pocket. The familiar ringtone that I had set for Shorter playing softly inside.

"I should take this, let me know how it goes here. You have my number, don't be afraid to use it officers!"

Taking my phone out and picking up as I dash out of the hospital. Not sure how this conversation is going to go since we were pretty snappy with each other when we last spoke.

"Shorter, whats up?"

Theres a pause, almost as if he is holding back.

"Shorter?"
