We decided to take a little detour and go through Chinatown. Shorter would be meeting us to help out Ash. Ditching the car, Ash and Eiji walked on foot through the crowds while I keep an eye from above. We know Arthur and his guys are still after him, with Golzine now having it out for him as well.

The streets were packed today, tourist season being in full swing this time of year. The two of them would have been hard to keep track of it weren't for Ash's shiny blonde hair. Sensing something was up, being followed to be more precise, we rounded the corner to an alley. Just as we suspected, someone was following them. Just as he rounded the corner, out of sight from the public, I use my webs to trap him to the wall. Jumping down in front of him, Ash gets in his face first.

"Who sent you? Arthur? One of Golzine's guys?"

The guy looks close to our age looking at him up close. Being one of Arthurs guys would be my guess. He continued to struggle against the webs that stuck to his body, though it was futile. He was already begging.

"I dont know anything. Please, don't kill me."

A familiar voice comes out from the other side of the alley.

"We'll take it from here. Haven't lost your touch, eh?"

Shorter stands beside us now with his men keeping watch behind him. He's wearing the most obnoxious orange button up with his green vest today. If I wasn't wearing my mask, I may have puked from all the colors overwhelming me. Maybe next time he goes clothing shopping I'll tag along to help him out.

"Shorter, are you perhaps color blind?" I use my hands to gesture towards his outfit, clearly indicating this look is not his best.

He laughs a bit at me, not bothered I guess by it. "If you have a problem with my look Spidey, quit staring so much." He sends a wink my way, only making my want to puke worse.

While he catches up with Ash and Eiji, I start working on getting the guy off the wall. Wrapping him like a tortilla almost, I toss him to the members Shorter brought with.

"Let him go after he talks." Hearing Ash say this is reassuring, he hasn't changed even after spending time in prison.

Shorter protests though. "Still acting like the good saint? When will you.."

He cuts him off abruptly. "Im just saying he isn't worth killing. It'll just make more trouble."

"Why not? Lets settle it once and for all. Arthur thinks hes some big shot now. Gotta put a stop to him ya know?"

No one wants to admit that he may be right.

Ash quickly changes the topic though.

"Do you know what happened to Griff's body?"

We all look to each other, not really sure what to say to be honest. Eiji speaks up first.

"Nobody came to pick him up, so he is still at the coroner."

This doesn't phase Ash, though nothing does. He lets out a small sigh.

"Now that I'm on the run, he'll be chucked into a public grave, huh. You back out now, Shorter. I'll settle this myself."

Um excuse me? Did he forget that I'm not going anywhere? Pretty fuckin' rude if you ask me.

Shorter doesn't hesitate though, standing his ground and getting in Ash's face.

"The hell I will! You can't do anything alone!"

"This is my problem, it doesn't concern you."

This definitely pissed of Shorter, if he didn't calm down I was worried we may get some unwanted attention.
