I sat up and was buried underneath all of them in a group hug. I turned towards Dylan.

"I saw dad.." I just kept crying cause I was already missing my father. Dylan looked taken back before just nodding and giving me a kiss on the top of my head. I turned towards Merritt and he hugged me again like it was gonna be the last time.

"I'm so so so so sorry, if I hadn't taken my eyes off you, you wouldn't be here honey. I really am so sorry-" I cut off his apologies with a kiss. Shortly after I pulled away.

"Please don't apologize. None of this was your fault mer."

Later we were back in the magic shop and Dylan and I were covered in towels and blankets. They were talking about where the missing chip could have gone but I was just zoned out thinking about dad. Merritt hadn't let me leave his arms and Dylan wouldn't let me out of his eye sight, so mer and I were sat right next to Dylan.

"There's a quote uhm, it's actually by the magician that made me wanna do this in the first place it says uhm " a magicians greatest power lies forever shrouted in his empty fist-""

"- in the idea that he could convince the world he is infact carrying a secret" Dylan and I finished and looked at eachother. Just sending small smiles.

"So what are you saying? We should pretend to have something we don't?" Jack just looked plain confused.

"What is Walter's greatest fear?" Dylan was playing with a card.

"Being seen" Merritt finally piped in from behind me.

"Do you really think that you don't have help?" The little Chinese woman piped in while walking into the room.

"OH she speaks english...of course she does"

"Do you know why the fool is the most powerful card in the tarot? Not because the person who draws him is a fool..he's a fool because hes a clean slate and therefore can become anything. You were chosen, all of you."

"Not because of who you are, but because of you might become" the grandson piped in.

"Wait, your part of the eye aren't you?" I asked them

"Yes, we are part of the eye. You've discovered our existence, wondering if we indeed were watching...we are, we always have been"

While the rest were doing a little toast I branched of because something had caught my eye. I walked over to a little section dedicated to dad and looked around. I saw a box with "JESSIE" written on it and picked it up.

"We were told to give that to you when you visited, your father always knew you would end up back here" I looked behind me to see the old lady. I simply nodded and thanked her before opening the box. Inside was a necklace with a little note. The necklace had a cute little key on it. And the note said

"IT WILL COME IN HANDY WHEN YOU NEED IT DARLING, JUST ALWAYS REMEMBER JESSIE 143
LOVE-DAD

I was confused but just put it on regardless and smiled. I looked at Dylan across the room and raised a watch up to me, I automatically knew it meant dad left that to him with the whole "it will come in handy bit". But for now I just smiled and went throught the "LIONEL SHRIKE" section in this little magic shop.
