It was a new day and we have just arrived at this estate. I was busy zoned out in the car, looking at my ring. But merritt grabbed me and pulled me inside while smiling down at me. I gave him a small kiss while we walked into this amazing house. Dylan and I were standing at the back. And he grabbed my hand and we branched off into what looks like a study.

We stopped at a table right inside the door and saw a picture of dad. Infact the whole room kind of looked dedicated to dad. Dylan picked up a picture of our father with Thaddeus Bradley and showed it to me, I frowned at the sight.

"Yes, your father and I were partners" we turned around to see Thaddeus.

"Why I mean- why didn't you ever say anything to us" I could make sense of it.

"I don't know, give it a name, shame, guilt, regret"

"I put you in jail Thad, why didn't you say something then?"

"Well then I was going too, but you were so quick to throw your personal motivations, well quite frankly it would have spoiled the trick for me" I couldn't make sense of anything so I just listened to them while wandering around the room and looking at things. "You were right about the Horsemen, they needed to learn to work together"

"But that can't be what all this is about"

"You know the best tricks, work on many levels. And the deepest one, for me atleast is this moment right here" That's when I looked over at them.

"Jessie, Dylan your father was one of my best freinds. My suggestion however is you find a successor" and that's when they both looked at me.

"Me?"

"Who else Jessie, you deserve it the most, you've put all this work into becoming just like dad."

Before I could say anything the rest of the group tumbled in. Atlas was rambling.

"OH uhm word of advice...pay no attention to the curtain" we all turned to see a curtain and rushed over, there was a door behind it. We noticed it was locked and I got to thinking.

"Hold on I have the key, dear ole dad helped me out " I pulled off my necklace, unlocked the door and put the necklace right back on.  On the other side was just a long staircase going down. We all ran down, excited to see what was at the bottom.

At the bottom was nothing but an empty room with a note hung from the ceiling. I pulled it down and opened it.

Dylan and Jessie,

Oh my dear sweet children, If your reading this, you've finally uncovered my secret. I'm sorry that you had to lose me and not know all this information at the time. But I believed it was better that you earn it, and ad a result of you earning it...you've come this far. I've left This estate for you it's all yours and your friends. I hope you and the Horsemen continue to do great things. And Jessie I hope Merritt treats you like a queen. And Dylan get to finding someone who makes you happy.

Love,
Dad

"But how does dad know about merrit, he would to have-" I cut myself off and look up at Dylan.

"-been here" Dylan finished my sentence. But before anybody else could say anything, we heard a throat clear behind us. We all turned around to see

"Dad!" Before anyone could say anything I flung myself into his arms.

" But you were dead, Jessie saw you when she was dieing"

"Yes you two I was dead, and i know about the dream thing. Jessie's mind was convinced I was dead, so her subconscious was as well so she "saw" me when she almost died" Dad just pulled us both into a great big hug

"I promise I'll explain everything you two, please don't hate me."

((Yes I brought him back, pout about it))
