chapter 5: liu kang (part 1)

As we enter the throne room I notice syzoth is nowhere to be seen, I know not to trust the sorcerer, but even he has to uphold his side of the bargon, but I still, I cannot help but feel worried for syzoth, I stand to thebside of the throne room center and wait with the others, now that I take notice, the only fighter left besides myself, is the earthrealm fighter Liu kang,

Shang tsung enters the throne room with his subordinates, but still no sign of Reptile, the sorcerer sits in his throne and looks to me before addressing the fighters, "kombatants, I present this latest creation of Shao kahn." He says, the entrance doors open and four guards escort a man wrapped in black bands and wearing a red uniform, "he is many warriors, their souls fused into one being." He continues, the man stops in the center of the room and the guards walk away from him, "behold...ermac!" Shang tsung presents, the man takes a stance and souls gather around him until he holds his hands apart at the center of his chest, forcing the souls into a ball, he moves his hands to his side and the ball remains until he absorbs it back into his body, and releases a mist like power of souls out of his hands,

"He will be your opponent, komodo." Shang tsung says, "where is he sorcerer?" I ask, "Reptile is within the dungeon, he will be freed, IF you can win." He says, I step into the center of the room and look into ermac's pale eyes, I grab hold of my cloak and remove it throwing it behind me, the other kombatants look at me with wide eyes, "so that is why you've taken an interest in reptile." Shang tsung says, "my people are not slaves, not anymore!" I say,

I take my dragon stance and ready myself for battle, "we are many, you are one, we will destroy you." Ermac says,

When the fight starts I charge ermac but he anticipates my attack and blocks, he counter attacks by punching my chest and pushing me back, I swing my leg at him and he blocks his head, I pull my leg back before it connects, I kick ermac in the chest sending him back like he did me, ermac looks at me and holds his hand to his side with his palm to the sky, green energy charges I'm his hand until it forms another ball, ermac throws the ball at me but I am quick enough to dodge it by side stepping, ermac is quick to charge another ball, when he throws it I dodge again and see another ball, I continue to dodge until I am close enough to ermac to attack and I leg sweep him, ermac falls to the ground and I use that opportunity, I slam my foot down on ermacs chest and jump off of him, I use the ceiling to spin myself as I come down on I bring my leg down on to ermacs head, I place my hand on the ground and push myself in the air and away from ermac,

Ermac dosent move and his eyes are closed, I look to the sorcerer and he looks angered, "free Reptile. NOW!" I order, suddenly I am blown back into a pillar, I feel dazed but I look up to see ermac holding a green energy ball, "you should have finished us fool." Ermac says, he launches the ball at me and I am too weakened to move, a white light shines in my eyes and when it fades the only thing I see, is syzoth, he looks saddened, but familiar, I look around and notice Shang tsung in the dungeon, he is having bi-han fight Sonya,

My vision fades to white again and when it fades away I see syzoth once again, but he is still saddened but also frightend, I look to see we are in the courtyard, and Sonya is fighting kano, and shang tsung watching them, 'these are my memories, am I dying?' I think, once more my vision fades, and when I can see again I am met with the courtyard spring, I look down to see his arms wrapped around me, that is all I need to remember this moment, when syzoth comforted me after bi-han's death, I turn around and see his face, he is again saddened, but now it looks worst, as if he was the one needing comfort,

Never once have I seen him express joy or happiness, I do not think syzoth remembers the last time he was happy himself, being the only saurian left forced him to seek strong allies, even if he was a slave, it breaks my heart syzoth and I are the last of our race, we are the only ones in all of the realms to truly know eachothers pain, I want to stay with him, I want to help him, I want to comfort him, I open my eyes and it feels as if time has stopped, these feelings, I don't want to stay with him because we are the last of our kind, I want to stay with him because, 'I love him.' I can't die here not now not yet,
