(Y/N)'s POV

Falling from the sky and nearly dying made (Y/N) feel a lot better, when Festus was falling, taking Leo down with it, and (Y/N) had to dive onto the dragon and drag the mechanic away before they both impacted, he finally felt like himself.

The danger of hitting the ground as he wrapped his arms around Leo and pushed off the dragon, the excitement in his body, seemed to wake him up from what felt like a dream, more memories hit him like a truck, and it only got worse as they hit the ground.

He had turned onto his back, shielding Leo from as much damage as he could, but as he hit the ground, and lost all control, he couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face. As the impacted ended up being too much, and they rolled away from each other, he almost laughed.

As pain shot through his entire body, radiating from his arm, the rolling meant his arm was in front of him, then behind him, and then to the side as his elbow took a lot of the damage. But that familiar sting, that pain made him feel more alive then he had been seconds before.

The kids left him behind to scout ahead as he licked his wounds, and 'guarded' the cages, and the moment they were out of earshot, and he had reset his elbow joint, he sat there smiling to himself, the ambrosia tasted like ash in his mouth and barely healing him, felt like a feast.

But once that subsided, once he sat there and thought about it, dread hit him, (Y/N) was clawing his way back, and when that happened, he wasn't sure what came next. He remembered what his dream had told him, about claiming his name, but he thought to himself, was it his to claim?

He sighed, and went to clear his head after the kids had entered the house. He wandered around the garden, careful to avoid anything that smelled just a bit too funky, it was like the fall had kick started his senses again.

His eyes still sucked, but he could sense things around him, feel more than he could before. That was how he stumbled on it the first time, it was old and decrepit, stuck into the ground. Out of curiosity, he pulled it from the dirt.

"You have got to be kidding me." He said, looking at the rusted metal and the splinter filled wood, looking over at the field behind the house, of all the things in this persons house, this was the most concerning to him, including the deathtraps.

Jason's POV

Jason would've died five times on the way to the front door if not for Leo. First it was the motion-activated trapdoor on the sidewalk, then the lasers on the steps, then the nerve gas dispenser on the porch railing, the pressure-sensitive poison spikes in the welcome mat, and of course the exploding doorbell.

Leo deactivated all of them. It was like he could smell the traps, and he picked just the right tool out of his belt to disable them. "You're amazing, man," Jason said. Leo scowled as he examined the front door lock.

"Yeah, amazing," he said. "Can't fix a dragon right, but I'm amazing." "Hey, that wasn't your—" "Front door's already unlocked," Leo announced. Piper stared at the door in disbelief. "It is? All those traps, and the door's unlocked?"

Leo turned the knob. The door swung open easily. He stepped inside without hesitation. Before Jason could follow, Piper caught his arm. "He's going to need some time to get over Festus. Don't take it personally."

"Yeah," Jason said. "Yeah, okay." But still he felt terrible. Back in Medea's store, he'd said some pretty harsh stuff to Leo—stuff a friend shouldn't say, not to mention the fact he'd almost skewered Leo with a sword.

If it hadn't been for Piper, they'd both be dead. And Piper hadn't gotten out of that encounter easily, either. "Piper," he said, "I know I was in a daze back in Chicago, but that stuff about your dad—if he's in trouble, I want to help. I don't care if it's a trap or not."
