Chapter 28- They are softer than the pillsbury dough boy

I wake up and feel cold. I look around and realize I'm still in Vincent's room, and he's gone.

I look at the clock and see it 10:00 the next day and groan. I've missed my classes, and I'm probably going to get hell for it.

Where is he and why didn't he wake me?

I stretch and sit up on his grand bed crawling to the other side to get out of his room. I'm still shocked at how big his house is, I don't think I'd ever get over its beauty.

I open his bedroom door and see the hallway empty.

I walk out and make my way down it not sure where to go, or where to look.

"Hey." someone says from behind me. I turn around and smile seeing Mark.

"Mark!" I say happily. I haven't seen him in a while and I'm happy to see him. I feel like there's a lot of untold stories under this roof, and even though I can be there for Vincent I wish I could be there for Mark to.

"Vincent's in the touching room." he says and my eyes widen.

"What?" I ask horrified and Mark bursts out laughing.

"It's the doctors room where he gets his checkups. We call it the touching room because all the doctors touch him, and he hates it." Mark says and I'm almost relieved.

For all I know it could have been a secret vampire room for sucking blood- I'm still on that?

"Well can you take me?" I ask. There's no way I can navigate my way in this house alone.

"Sure." he says and walks past me down the hall. I follow and he stops abruptly at a door and I almost run into him.

He knocks and there a cough on the other side of the door.

"Come in." a corse voice says and Mark goes to open the door but I grab his hand.

"I know your young but please understand I may not be up to speed in here so help me out." I say and Mark looks at me and nods.

He opens the door and we enter. I'm shocked at what I see and I almost run to the bed but I stay by Marks side.

Vincents hooked up to machines I thought were only kept in hospitals. His father is by his bed along with a doctor. Vincent looks even worse than he did last night making me want to scream at Sawyer.....I knew something was wrong.

"Hey." I say and Vincent smiles weakly at me.

His father turns toward me shocked to see me.

"Vincent are you sure you want her here?" He asks and Vincent rolls his eyes. He sits up with no effort despite his looks and waves me to come closer.

"She's the reason I'm doing this." he says and his dad look at him shocked once again.

I walk to Vincents side confused and grab his hand.

"What's going on?" I ask.

"I thought you didn't want chemo?" Mark speaks up and Vincent shrugs.

"Things change." he says and Mark raises his brows.

"Not with you, your stubborn." Mark says and I feel Vincent grip my hand harder.

"Didn't you hear me she's the reason I'm doing this?" He says annoyed and I furrow my brows. Everyone looks at me and I look at Vincent.
