Chapter 8- They know how to leave a mark

I look in the mirror checking if I have the 'I don't know what's going on' look down.

I have on a white casual beauty dress, its sleeveless with sheeth, and sold shift. I pair it with pink ballet flat shoe lace up multicolored Oxfords. I went with the summery look but I know it gets chilly so I grab my leather jacket. Pft not because Vincent likes it.

Jacey has classes this morning and my dad will be here any minute to pick me up to go to Vincent's.

So I walk out of the building after grabbing my bag and wait out front. I see his car pull up and I get in.

"Wow you look nice Spencer." He says and I smile.

"You to dad." I say and he chuckles. He's wearing his normal doctors attire, slacks, a dress shirt and his doctors coat.

We drive in silence to Vincent's and my nerves start to rise. How will Sawyer react? How will Vincent react when I tell him Sawyer knows? Will I even have time to talk to Vincent before I'm faced by Sawyer. There no questing what's going to happen, for all I know Vincent might not even be there, since he never called me back. That's why you read you messages, and actually call people back because things like this wouldn't stress me out.

We arrive and dad gets out of the car but I stay seated. Maybe Jacey was right and this was a bad idea. My heart is beating a million miles a minute.

"Uhh Spencer we are here." My dad says and I look over at him nodding. I slowly get out of the car because there's no turning back now.

We walk up to the front door and he knocks. I hear footsteps and the door opens a women on the other side.

But I thought Vincent's mom and dad were divorced?

"Hello you must be the doctor I'm the mother. Call me Sophia." She says and I'm still confused. She's completely stunning blonde hair up in a bun blue eyes shining through make up, probably put on by an artist. She's wearing a red work suit that looks more expensive than all my belongings.

"Hello I'm Dr. Kidd and this my daughter she helps with my patients." he says shaking her hand. She nods looking me over and I feel weird.

"Hello I'm Spencer." I say and shake her hand.

"You look Vincent's age." she says and I freeze. "If only he could be as put together as you." She says and my jaw drops.

Did she really just say that out loud? She turns and we enter.

"Follow me." she says and we walk to the same room we were in the last time we came. The door is closed and I can hear yelling on the inside.

"So you lied?" Sawyer yells and my stomach drops.

"No I just didn't tell you my business." I hear Vincent's voice and the mother sighs opening the door.

They suddenly go quiet and turn to us, and by us I mean to me.

Sawyer glares at me and so does Vincent.

Their little brother is sitting on the bed reading a book and I smile.

"Hey you Mark right?" I ask and the boy looks up at me. He looks at my face studying me but I smile sweetly. He's reading a children's book surprising me because he's atleast 12.

"You must be the lier?" He asks and my face goes red. Maybe he's not 8, the brat.

"Uhh- Well.." I say embarrassed and Vincent pushed him over.

"Mark apologize." Sophia says and the boy smiles.

"Sorry." He says then goes back to his book.
