I glared at the book placed on the table in-front of me praying I would someday understand.

Unlikely.

The library was quieter than usual seeing as everyone was at dinner. The warmth from the candle next to me made a slight difference but not enough to warm me, I wrapped my robes tighter around my body; I felt as cold as the frost lacing the windows.

I flipped a page, than another, than another. I couldn't focus and the idea of studying felt futile.

The loud bells rang out signalling seven o'clock nearly making me jump out of my own skin.

The same can't be said for the first year a couple table down from me.

Two hands pressed down on my shoulder as the ominous person behind me looked down to see what I was struggling with, the chair next to me was pulled out and George sat down.

"I haven't seen you in a little while?" The hinder boy asks, closing the book in-front of me.

I glanced at him and smiled, "I've been at Draco's house the past couple days. I say pulling my legs up to my chest and leaning back in my chair.

"Fun?" He asks and I smirk.

"You could say that."

I earn a snicker from him, I inhale deeply and rest my head on my knees admiring his eyes.

"How is everyone?" I ask and he smiles back "the same as they always are, so obnoxiously happy." I laugh at his response.

We share some quiet conversation as the library empties out even more, students were heading off to bed and soon so was the librarian, "sorry lovely's, curfews in a few minutes, I'm locking up." She kindly says interrupting our conversation.

George helps me return my books to the shelves and we leave the room together. I hold his hand as we make our way down the halls.

I never saw George as a romantic figure and he always saw me as a little sister so we had always had a close bond even when Hermione and I were friends.

Back then I'd spend a lot of time with the Weasley's, one weasley in particular.

"Do you want me to walk you too your common room?" George asks and I grip his hand tighter.

"Nah I don't wanna head back just yet, not really tired." I say and George smiles.

"Alright then."

We continue walking and George takes us up one of the forbidden hallways, we stop at a solid concrete wall and I peer up to him, confused.

The wall begins to crack and I take a step back as the wall shifts to the side revealing a lounge with students of different houses.

"Is this the room of requirement?" I ask as the door shuts.

George gives me a nod and I laugh, good use for it I guess.

We walk over to one of the sofas and take a seat, it wasn't particularly loud, more peaceful, I looked around the room and found that it was only George's friends.

As much as I hate to say it I could spend all day with these guys, the were just so... easy going.

You didn't have to try and make conversation, you could sit in silence and it would be perfectly fine.

I rested my head against George's shoulder. He pauses from reading his book and looked down at me.

I smiled and lay down across his lap, he pulled a blanket over me and I was unable to fight off sleep, everything just felt so safe.
