Chapter 3

Despite her guilt over betraying Liam, Hope found new hope after her passionate lovemaking with Thomas. But as a happily sleeping Thomas lay beside her, Hope still couldn't help being torn by her conflicting feelings as her marriage came to an end. She still loved Liam, but Thomas added excitement as they worked closely together on HFTF designs.

She couldn't take it anymore! She had to get out! She needed clarity! So Hope got herself, kissed a sleeping Thomas and went for a drive to clear her head.

Meanwhile, after her lunch with Ridge, Taylor was taken aback when he confessed that he and Brooke were back together.

"You and Brooke? Together again?" Taylor asked, but found it amusing after witnessing his reaction upon meeting the new FC designer, and decided to call him out on it. "Okay, I get it! You and Brooke are destiny!"

"What can I say? The heart wants what the heart wants?" Ridge said finally free to admit it.

"Yeah, I see." Taylor said. "Then, how do you explain your interest, or design—pun intended—Shayna Rennie?" Taylor mused.

"What do you mean?" Ridge pointed out as he defended himself. "She's a talented designer."

"Yeah, but you showed way too much interest, for a man who's free to be his "Logan"?"

"Well, I'm just here to encourage a fellow designer."

"Yeah, you keep telling yourself that." Taylor said, but secretly, she couldn't wait to see what Brooke would think of Ridge's interest in Shayna Rennie?

Elsewhere, Caroline, determined to make her way to L.A. found an ally in Rex Brady when he agreed to help her escape, but with a stipulation—that he be allowed to go with her to L.A. Caroline, desperate to get to L.A. and free Douglas from Thomas and Hope's clutches, agrees to his stipulations, unaware that he's smitten with the blonde.
