Caroline knew that Thomas was Douglas' father, but she wanted Thomas to squirm in the notion that he wasn't. She hated that Hope had been playing mommy to her son while she was otherwise indisposed. She had to think of someone to be Douglas' father quickly. Then she remembered her ex-husband, Rick Forrester had recently divorced his wife, Maya Avant, and made a call.
"Hello?" Rick asked when he hit 'receive' on his cell."
"Rick, darling, it's Caroline," Caroline announced when she heard his voice.
"Caroline, is it really you?" Rick said surprised to hear his ex-wife's voice, since he assumed she was dead.
"Yes, it's me, back from the dead."
"Well, it's good to hear you're okay?" Rick replied.
"Rick, can you meet me for lunch?"
"Caroline, I'm in Paris," Rick told her.
"Oh, darn, I was hoping you could do me a favor?"
"Well, you know I'd do anything for you, Caroline." Rick said, "Spill it, Caroline. You know you're my favorite ex-wife?"
"Pretend to be Douglas' father!" Caroline confessed to a stunned Rick.

Meanwhile, back at FC, Shayna was busy on her latest designs when Ridge showed up for work.
"Ridge, I'm glad you're here," Shayna said, "I've been working on some more designs."
"Well, let's have a look." Ridge said as he took her drawing pad from her, "This is awesome, Shayna."
Shayna was so taken with Ridge's compliments for her designs, that she impulsively kissed him.
"I'm so sorry, Ridge," Shayna told him, as she regretted her actions.
"Hey, it's okay, Shayna, you got caught up in the excitement of your designs," Ridge told her. "No need to apologize."
"I've got to go," Shayna said as she ran from Ridge's office.
