When (Y/n) and Haru had come back, Bastien was already fast asleep, his bedtime an hour before their return. However, when he had woken up in the morning, he wasted no time pouting. At the table, he was happily munching away on his fruit and cereal, talking to his nannies about how much he liked raspberries. They eagerly listened, too, asking him what exactly was his favorite thing about the fruit. In response, he would giggle and lecture them about the infinite combinations the berry could provide.
That being said, the moment the younger girl had come downstairs for some sustenance, he immediately puffed his cheeks up like a chipmunk. The boy then ceased talking, turning his nose in the air before resting his chin on the table. His pouting - though it was meant to warrant guilt - only made her melt at how precious he could be. She took a moment to admire the cute chubby face he had, even setting her coffee down to get up close and personal with him, crouching by his chair and giggling.
"Are you still mad?" she cooed, watching as he stuck his cheeks out even more, presumably under the impression she was buying into his act, "I feel so bad. Whatever shall I do?"
The brunette didn't reply, only increasing the dramatic antics by hiding his face in his arms. As a result, the (h/c) haired girl decided to play along, clenching at her chest and falling over. In his shock, the brunette began to panic, inspecting her with concern. He didn't want his favorite playmate to die, after all. The boy even began tugging on his main nanny's dress for help, tears in his eyes.
"I'm not going to make it!" the girl gasped, reaching up dramatically.
"N-No. You can't die! Frère will be sad!"
"There's only one thing that can save me."
The toddler began urging her to disclose the information to him, shaking her with great concern. At times like those, his rampant empathy was very clear. If it were Haru, at that age, he would have completely ignored a dying person to keep eating his breakfast. Then again, it would have made him very difficult to appease in the same situation. Luckily, Bastien made it easy for her to make amends.
"You got to tell me!" the boy cried, causing a scene for everyone in the east side of the mansion to hear.
	"I need," A pause, "a raspberry."
Bastien, not the sharpest tool in the shed, like his brother, didn't quite get sarcasm. Perhaps it was because he was still nothing but a baby, but he genuinely didn't understand the implications of the tone. Instead, he took things very literally. That much was clear when he contemplated giving up even one of his favorite fruits. In the end, however, because he was a good kid, he was quick to feed her the "antidote", the girl magically popping back up. She took him in her arms as she did so, beginning to spin the boy around until he squealed in delight.
"You did it! You saved me! What a good boy!" she praised him, receiving the same amount of enthusiasm back from him.
"Good boy!" he repeated, clapping his hands together in delight.
She began to smother him with nose nudges, the brunette laughing loudly. He completely forgot why he was mad or that he had been in the first place, just content with the attention. In fact, he even opted to share more of his breakfast with her, but she rejected, mostly because he had already slobbered over everything. It made her regret asking for a raspberry in the first place, the girl getting a little nauseous at the thought.
Bastien began to jump around with glee, exclaiming he had saved the younger girl and that he was a hero. And if (Y/n) had known it would have attracted Haru's attention, she most definitely would have stopped him. The boy's older brother came down at quite an inconvenient time, nearly trembling at the implication of Bastien's words. Quick to rush over, he inspected the scene, nervously beginning to gnaw at his fingernails.
