(Y/n) woke up once more to the sight of something unpleasant. Sona stared at the issue with her, the both of them trying to ponder what was setting her off. A royal guard was slumped dead on the floor. Indefinitely, it was her handiwork. The six pointed pattern she had stabbed into the woman's back, the killing blow through the throat, and the weapon type all lined up to her usual modus operandi. Though, the woman's identity didn't quite line up. The (h/c) haired girl hadn't remembered even seeing her before, let alone viewing her as a threat. Sona, too, was at a loss for why she had killed her.
"Time of death was at 1:24am," the android mumbled, taking any other clues he could find, "You woke up around that time, but I'm not sure why. There were a few anomalies that could have caused it. For one, there was a full moon last night. Another was that it was misty. A third possibility was that the temperature suddenly dropped around then. I noticed you don't usually sleep well when it's cold, so that anomaly is probably the cause."
	"But it's always cold here."
"Yes, but, at about 1:12am, you woke up. At the same time, I noted a massive drop in temperature with below zero temperatures around the embassy."
"Put a pin in that for now. What happened after I got up?"
"I ran a few tests on you, but you were in a strange state. It was like you were in a trance, as usual. I followed you outside where you just stood there until 1:20. Then that guard walked by and you just...pounced at her. The rest is the same as always. I made sure to take you inside and clean you up. I also took the guard and cleaned up the evidence outside."
	"Thank you."
The younger girl tilted her head at the corpse. She didn't have any memory of what happened the previous night, but she never really did, so it wasn't too surprising. It was concerning, however, that her attacks were becoming more commonplace. Sona was right, though she still didn't think going to a therapist or doctor would have done anything for her. She would have to think up ways to stop her from doing it again, but, for the time being, it was best to clean up the mess. As she moved to do so, the android stopped her, doing it himself.
In truth, both Sona and Haru were well aware of her past. Once the android was assigned to her side, her killings came to light. They weren't prolific in Echal, and she had only disposed of a few people that genuinely wanted to hurt her or other Akahito family members. However, Sona, having access to a surplus of information, was able to match up her M.O. to previous cases, mainly in Echal. And when he and Haru had confronted her about it, she simply confirmed it.
It didn't matter much to Haru. He just wanted to know more about her. To Sona, however, he was able to use the information to best help her. He had even learned how to dispose of evidence and, over time, he was able to find warning signs as to when she would attack or when she became unstable. And though there were still times out of the ordinary that couldn't be predicted, he was there to watch over her at all times just in case. Still, like many things surrounding her, even he didn't know what she was suffering from.
Her motives were also somewhat complicated. Sona knew she killed primarily to defend herself or things she wanted to protect, such as himself or Haru. If she perceived people wanted to steal them, harm them, or otherwise take something away from her, they were her targets. Typically, she didn't plan to kill them, a sudden spike of aggression manifesting in her at night and causing her to seek them out. Temperature usually impacted how quickly aggression set in, with lower temperatures resulting in more desperation.
"Where's Haru?" the girl sighed after they finished disposing of the body, "He's been weirdly quiet."
"He's shut himself in his room. I don't know if he'll leave it at all today, but I can bring him meals on your behalf."
