chapter five

Gary excuses himself to take the call he was about ready to climb into bed with his wife,
"Jan" he said "what's up man?"
"Man! I'm embarrassed right now" jan said
"What happened you saw her naked?"
"Saw her naked? come on man cut the crop"
"What you couldn't see her naked?" Gary asked
"Man! How would I see her naked?" Jan hissed
Her room is right next to yours down the hall" Gary chuckled
"Well that's not it we don't even run into each other down the hall" Jan said
Gary chuckled once again
"Tell me what got you so embarrassed " Gary said
"It's nothing I'll talk to you tomorrow" Jan said
Gary laughed "come on say it" Gary said
"She gave me a bowl of ice-cream for dessert and it's been a while and it was so good for it was pistachio flavor I was scrapping and licking the spoon and she walk in to asked if I needed a second serving" Gary laughed "did you get one?"
"Get one, get one what?" Jan asked
"The second serving like she asked" Gary explained
"No" Jan sigh
"And why not?" Gary question
"I was too embarrassed to reply" Jan said
"You know what Jan I think it's the fact that you want her why this all seems so actward" Gary said
Jan didn't speak
"Jan" Gary called "You're still there man?"
"I'm going call you back" Jan said to Gary wanting to give himself a break from such arguments
"Come on Jan admit it you want her" Gary said
"I would have but what to do with her now, I'm in a wheelchair for Jan's sake" Jan said
"Don't sell your self short you have the best therapist working with you give her the chance to work on you" Gary said
Jan shiver from his words
"When you going to call me back later?" Gary asked
"No no later tomorrow" Jan finish his sentence and hang up,
Gary smile, he walk in to the bed room the smile showed
"Was that Jan?" His wife asked
Gary nod
"Is he alright?" She asked
"It's is therapist"
"What about her?" She asked
"He's in love with her" Gary said he knew it Jan could deny it all he wants.
"How is the sessions going?" Gary asked Johanna he had came over Thursday after noon while Jan was taking his rest, Johanna work mainly in the morning and do a few in the evening so Jan get to take rest in the afternoon,
Johanna turn and look at Gary he was leaning against the counter of the bar while Johanna sat there having a drink of coffee flavored rum cream she took another sip before turning fully to Gary, she shook her head and sighed deeply "My sessions with jan, ah jan, jan, Jan need to let me do my job, until he stop holding back he's going to remain in that wheelchair it isn't much I can do if he's not into it he's just as stubborn as he was in high school, probably just as selfish too" Johanna said pause and look at Gary,
Gary look at her surprisingly "so she do remember Jan from high school" he thought with shock thinking Jan must be right
"Excuse me" Johanna said noticing his reaction
"You know Jan before you took the job?" Gary asked
Johanna shook her head " no, what you talking about" she answered and asked before
walking away
"You said something about him in high school as if you guys know each other"
"What I said is that he's acting as though he's in high school, and jan jan would never know me" Johanna said with that she left
Gary smile, and pander awhile about what she said he wondered if jan was wrong about her not remembering or right about her remembering and came to make it hard for him in his wheelchair but he smile and push the thought away seeing how she's working hard to put him back to his feet.
Jan rest a little longer than he would have so Johanna checked on him he was ok but it seems he was tired because of that Johanna didn't bother to do the evening sessions
He wheel himself in at dinner time
"How you feeling Mr Reeves?" Johanna question as she lay on the table in front of Jan some Lamb ribs yam and potatoes salad with a heavy serving of vegetables
Jan looked up  at her, surprised she's serving up such a meal
Johanna waited for an answer
Jan got distracted as he lift his head to watch her and his hand accidentally knock the plate causing it to pitch up and spill some of the food"
Johanna grab it before it all spill
"Damn it" Jan cursed "I feel so clumsy I'm an idiot a freaking handicap" he hiss and toss the dish cover
"It's ok, that's fine  not all is gone, don't worry about it, I'll help you" Johanna said feeling a little pity she got napkins and wiped away the spill help him out the shirt the pack of dinner wipes on the table she got a few and wipe the crese from his chest before going to get him a clean shirt
"I'll get you a fresh plate" Johanna took it up,
"You don't have to" Jan said
"I'm going to" Johanna said with a gentle smile one that melt jan deeply, he watch her as she left the dinning room, few minutes later she came with a fresh plate and gave it to him,
"Thank you" Jan said appreciating the fact she was totally nice to him she was being too nice he is confident that she doesn't know him from high school and he don't have to make himself feel bad for not talking to her back then, if she does he's glad she's not holding it against him for ignoring her the way he did back then,
Johanna sat down and watch Jan eat while biting in his rib he left a little mess to both corners of his mouth, she got up to wipe it leaning forward to do so
The smell of her was extremely beautiful as she lean in Jan could smell the sweet fragrance from her rose blossom cologne he couldn't help himself but to pull in her scent she lean further to pick up the napkins and jan lift his head brushing her neck with his lips as they caught the softness of her skin kissing it softly
Johanna jump from the cold of his lips it was from emotions and that she wasn't expecting it make her tingle as they both shyly look at each other Jan was more than embarrassed and wish to sink into a hold beneath him,
Johanna didn't meet his gaze again but she didn't leave and he eat quietly until the meal was all done,
Jonathan clear up the table
"May" she called from the dinning room May knew once she call it was time for Mr Reeves to get his medication and she didn't waver and ran with them,
"I'll like to excuse myself to my room" he said trying not to look at Johanna
He didn't wait he just wheel himself out the dinning room by he close the door behind him he was breathing hard, shaking and wash with cold sweat, his heart was racing and the tingling in his belly was as if he was getting an errection
Johanna fight what she felt as she thought about Jan's lips on her neck the warm feeling send trill up her inner thighs making her soil her underwear she turn on the shower and climb in sinking into the warmth of the water as she was driven to caress herself sinking into the feeling that gives her deep estasy she haven't had feelings like this before and it make her tingle,
Jan wish he could just speak to his body to stop trembling like it was and it obeys him it was nerve rocking and he felt as though his heart beat out his chest, he rub his face thinking that if he could get an errection any at all it would be a hard trobbing one and he knew he wouldn't be able to bare it,
Johanna heard tumbling in Jan's bedroom something moving around she wondered if he was ok she left the room to check on him peeking through the door by pushing it a little, Jan was in the mirror and saw the head came in when Johanna saw that he was only at his dresser she pull back but not before Jan recognized her, he was about to call out for may, although he knew it's Johanna but then he change his mind not wanting to let her know that he saw her,
Johanna left and went back inside and jan relax in his chair for a while, a little later may came to help Jim into bed then went off herself,
Neither Johanna or jan got much sleep they were both lugged at the therapy session and it ended quickly than  the usuals,
"I'm an idiot" Jan grumbled to Gary they were sitting by the pool in the cool evening after the last therapy session of the day,
"What you talking about this time?" Gary asked
"Last night" Jan said then pause
"What happened last night?" Gary eagerly asked
Jan sigh "it's Johanna"
"Did you behave rudely to Johanna?" Gary asked knowing that he was reluctant to have her here, the countless times he said he want her to leave,
"I wish I did I wouldn't be feeling this bad now" jan said
"Then what, what happened tell me" Gary said
"I kissed her" Jan blurted out
Gary mouth widen "kiss her ah?" He chuckle
"It wasn't a kiss kiss" Jan said
"It wasn't then what was it tell me let me know for I wasn't there" Gary smile
"It was her neck she leaned over and was smelling so good I couldn't help myself" Jan covered his face feeling shy,
Gary smile, "you still like her don't you?" Gary asked
Jan felt as if Gary asked him this same question every time they talk about Johanna,
"She must got a man and I'm sure she's not going to leave him for me not when I'm sitting in this wheelchair and knowing that in high school I
didn't even look at her" Jan said
"Show her you're no longer that guy in high school" Gary said
"She don't need to look hard to see that I'm not the same man in high school I'm in a wheelchair for crying out loud"
"I'm sure that if you let her do her job you won't be very long in there, and stop giving her the impression of that boy you where in high school" Gary said
Jan look at him,
"She said you're behaving like that boy back in high school"  Gary said
"What how could she say that she don't remember me" jan said,
"I think she's pretending pretty well" Gary said
But jan didn't believe it not at this point,  "What did she say?" Jan asked
"I said what she said" Gary said
The door open and Johanna walked out to the pool side ignoring the two men sitting there, aware that they both were looking at her she removed the robe she wore as she had come out to take a swim,
They watch her got in to the pool and swim off,
Jan look at Gary,
Gary widen and roll his eyes as jan tries to hide the emotions that whelm up in his chest, she was as sexy as she was back in high school only that she's ten years older and more developed,
Gary grin as he watch Jan watching her,
Jan side look him,
"She's hotttt....!" Gary whispered
"Shhh" Jan said turning back to Johanna splashing in the pool,
"I'm going to leave call me later" Gary got up,
Usually jan wouldn't have him leave yet but distracted and caught up with the sight of Johanna he nods touch Gary's arm without even looking at him
Gary smile and left him,
For a full hour Johanna swim and splash around working out her muscles and feeling free,
Jan sat looking at her thinking on her as if he was back in the body of that seventeen year old boy who silently love her like a secret admirer but didn't know what to say to her,
It wasn't until Johanna was getting out the pool she realized that Gary was already gone and jan was sitting alone, she dry herself before getting into her robe, she turn to jan, "Did you eat, are you ready to have something, did Gary left?"
Jan  nod, "he  left alright, no I haven't eat, yes I would love to, to eat" he heard his words shaking and try to get a grip Johanna nod, "come I'll have miss Maclean serve you dinner"
He nod taking the lead,
Johanna had fix a bowl of rich beef soup for jan and asked that miss Maclean serve it to him, while Jan sat down to eat he could think on nothing else than what Gary said at some point he had believe she remember him but then he didn't feel that way anymore he believe she doesn't and want it to remain that way he want to get off the wheel chair but he was too afraid of having her around worried of the outcome,
They work at the same time each day and with the same methods for the past two weeks two times each day by this she was expecting to see him at least moving his toes or feeling his legs tingle when she use the acupuncture but nothing she's convinced that he's blocking his mind from functioning and it's been so long months she's becoming concerned about it,
"I don't think jan is interesting in this sessions maybe he need a new therapist" Johanna said to Celeste they were having lunch on Saturday after noon,
She has been taking time out to meet with her best friend to talk for sometimes talking over the phone felt so less private and Johanna love her quiet and private time,
"I told you give him some" Celeste said through her teeth
Johanna frown at her,
"I know that you're the expert and you've cured so many patients but Jan seems reluctant because he's just surprised that it's you his high school mate maybe he wasn't expecting you to see him in that form" Celeste said
"I still see jan as that boy in high school" Johanna said
Celeste smirk "so you see you still crazy about him now that you have him to yourself it's a great opportunity" Celeste said
"Ahhh" Johanna said slaps her forehead as she growls
Celeste grinned,
"I really need to get him to relax" Johanna said
Celeste lean forward but instead of saying do what I told you she just stare into Johanna's eyes,
Johanna blink and felt her body shake hissed and got up from the table, "I'll call you" Johanna said
"Tell me how it goes" Celeste said before Johanna walked away frowning,
Julia and Timothy have come over to visit their son to  see what he was doing how they were getting a long Barry his older brother had gone a long and they were together having tea in the den with Gary,
"I can't believe after almost six months you haven't make any progress" Julia said to Jan,
"Are you sure that this therapist is as good as you say?" She asked
"That's what they said right gary?" Jan asked
Gary nod without any doubt for he was sure jan is the reason why nothing has change
Johanna got back to the house she realized that jan wasn't out as he would this time she noticed the car in the drive way that was never seen here before and with it Gary's car as well, she became qurious as to what was going on if jan had decided to get a replacement for her, she walked in the kitchen and noticed that she didn't see anyone except for may and miss Maclean fixing dinner in the kitchen she wasn't going to asked for who ever comes and goes was none of her business,
"Mr Reeves parents and brother are here I don't know if you want to go speak with them" miss Maclean said
"Where are they?" Johanna asked
"In the den" may told her,
Johanna nod bur before going to the den she went in her room to freshen up,
Twenty minutes later Johanna knocked on the door of the den where jan sat with his parents Julia and Timothy his older brother Barry and Gary was with them,
They each turned their heads when the knock came to the door,
"Hey" Gary stood to greet her,  he walk to her but Johanna couldn't help but to fix eyes on Barry Jan's brother she remember Barry  as if she last saw him yesterday he sometimes was the one to drop jan off at school that's where she saw him but since they all left high school she haven't seen him again but he looks good he haven't been able to wear the handsome looks as his brother jan who is  as sexy as hell although sitting in a wheelchair,
"Hi" Johanna manage to speak acknowledging every one in the room,
"You must be Johanna" Timothy said getting up moving forward to greet her Johanna didn't know Mr Reeves by his first name but she saw him quit a few times as well mainly attending pta meetings or award ceremonies as they had both come to embarked in their son's success she was sure that like Jan neither of them noticed that she attended high school with their son,
"I am" Johanna reply
"Of Crouse she is honey I remember Johanna she went to high school with our son, right son?" Julia asked Jan but Jan didn't speak
"No honey it must be that you're mistaking jan doesn't know her" Timothy said
Barry try to pick up but couldn't but was sure he saw her somewhere before,
Julia look at her husband trying to convince him,
"He's right mrs Reeves jan doesn't know me" Johanna said with a smile,  Jan  remember what Gary had said a few weeks back about what she had said and was convinced she remember him, he look across his mother to see her,
"Are you sure jan don't know you didn't you attend the cristo rey new York high school?" Julia asked
"She said she doesn't know Jan mom let it go" Barry stepped in Johanna was glad to have him did so, "Hi I'm Barry" he extended an arm
Johanna took it and jan watch as his older brother kiss her arm,
Johanna smirk, she nod "nice to meet you" she said
"Same here" Barry told her,
"Mr and mrs Reeves want to talk about the sessions how it's going" Gary said
Johanna wasn't sure what to tell them as they can see, the wheelchair is still here so they are to be able to figure it out by themselves,
She sat with a smile "It's getting better I'm sure if your son continues to corporate as he is now he'll get the results he wants" Johanna said
Jan remember that Gary had told him she said he isn't corporating and it's why he's going to remain in the chair jan look at Gary and their eyed met, Jan figure she's saying now he's not getting off the chair for he isn't working with her,  of Crouse he wants it to come through for he's ready to get back into cycling but this has been taking years now months it's a week before Thanksgiving so it's over six months
"He looks good too" Julia said
Johanna smile
"He told me you changed his diet and complain"
"Mom" Jan said to stop her
"He complained about it but I figured it's good for him" Julia said
"Yes" Johanna answer looking at jan, "he just couldn't sit in that wheelchair and  eat those fats food all that couldn't be good for your son" Johanna said Jan look at her, sure now that she taunts him but now he didn't care at first it got him mad but since she's been cooking food became more enjoyable for him and he was glad now to have her change the way he eats,
