chapter eleven

"Mmh" jan said with a laugh his neck tickles as Johanna lips caresses it, she kept sucking on this one particular spot it eventually started to get red as it burns, jan rub it with his finger tip and felt the slight swelling Johanna ease down doing the same, she had marked him another time he look up at her
"Will I get you in trouble?" Johanna asked
Jan smile and shook his head,
Johanna has been here six months and haven't seen a woman come to see him and it wasn't often that she leave and go out she wondered if he didn't have anyone if it's because he is unable to do anything why he remains with out someone,
Since he said she won't get in to any trouble Johanna wasn't worried and leave him with lovespots,
Jan look in the mirror looking at the two lovespot on his neck the other one on his chest, he smile to himself, He puts his shirt on to go to breakfast he was wheeling out his room when May came to see to him but he had already got through. Johanna was fixing breakfast when jan got to the kitchen she was standing by the stove and he watch her painting a picture of her in his t-shirt he walks into the kitchen walking up to her holding her from behind kissing her neck while he fondle her to hear her giggle
Johanna turn to see him watching her and felt her body tingle,
May and miss Maclean look from one to the other
"Morning Mr Reeves" Johanna said taking a dish from the counter to dish breakfast for him she gave him some cappuccino and some egg noodles baked with bacon and cheese Johanna knew that May and miss Maclean would help themselves so she dish and joined jan at the table they had a quiet breakfast and as finish Johanna did the dishes on finishing up she and jan went out to the from yard to sit, they were out together when Gary stop by, Johanna greets him as he comes got up at the same time to go in
"Anything cool?" She inquired
"I'll have some ice tea" Gary said
Jan nod
Johanna went in and brought back a jug of fresh made ice tea, well cold and refreshing, "I come for the first time since you got on that wheelchair and saw you looking at fresh and happy" Gary said
Jan who was about to drink rest the glass down "my therapist is working" Jan said with a smile,
"Which is good right?" Gary asked
"Which is good" Jan repeated
"Anything new developed?" Gary asked
"We're both working on it I'm getting somewhere" Jan said moving his leg putting it on the ground then up again though he had to do it slowly for he was just getting to move them a bit,
Gary giggle
"We've been working hard" Jan said
Gary nod please to see something was going on, he smile pushing Jan's shoulder and came to notice his love spot,
"Ah" he said touching Jan's neck
Lan look at him, he haven't forgotten his love spot and figured they're what Gary saw,
"So miss kartwell is putting in a little over time I see" Gary said
Jan grinned
"So are you feeling an errection?" He question
"I got feelings a little feelings but no errection as yet" Jan said
"But it will come, just continue to relax seems miss kartwell will have you walking again soon"
"Like I'm anxious to get up in that thing she has she's prettier than I used to imagine" Jan said
Gary laughed hard pat Jan's shoulder "give it time" he said
They could be heard laughing as Johanna couldn't hear what was been said, on seeing her coming they speak last in a whispered and said nothing more once she got there, she wondered why they did that if they were talking about her, she didn't mind if jan was telling Gary about the little love game it was what it takes to get him up again she's going for it she can't wait to have him ready to get with her really get with her, and now he seems into getting back on his feet he's rather determined than he was months ago, it seems his friends advice was working for even though he didn't get up and walk the work outs were getting better,
It is only a week left before Christmas!" Johanna thought with a sigh she haven't decided her mind if she'll go home, she haven't missed Christmas dinners before back when she was in Toronto and didn't think it will look good to be in New York and didn't join her family for Christmas dinner, She had gone to Thanksgiving but back then she used to do Thanksgiving and was back for Christmas but she wasn't sure what to do this time, she didn't want to leave Jan for the past few days they have been getting a little progress she didn't want to leave him but by the way Jan's family will be here to celebrate Christmas with him why should she stick around when the job doesn't require her to, she wants to be close to jan but didn't want to leave her family in the process.
Julia calls her son house and miss Maclean answer she asked to talk to Johanna they were at breakfast Friday morning, Johanna wondered why they were calling now and they planned on arriving tomorrow what ever it is they wanted to discuss about their son they can always talked then, and they have a long time for it's the next Saturday that will be Christmas day,
"Hi Mrs Reeves" Johanna said politely
"Johanna dear how are you?" Julia asked
"Oh I'm doing fine and how are you Mrs Reeves"
"Ok, ok, my dear I'm fine, listen up I don't know if you would want to asked your family to join my family for Christmas, my husband and I are thinking of a small party for our son" Julia said
"Oh" Johanna shockingly said she was contemplating how she would do this "I'm sure, they would love to I'll tell them for sure" Johanna said hoping to have them come this way she'll get to stay with jan and have the family too,
"Yes dear we'll see you soon" Julia said
"Ok see you tomorrow" Johanna said
She kill the call but instead of going back to the table she excuses herself and went out using the kitchen door, Jan watch her leave
He knew that was his mother on the phone but he wasn't sure why she called to talk to Johanna and not him unsure of what they were saying and why was it that after the conversation between them she left leaving the rest of her breakfast he too no longer felt like finishing as he was about to leave the table his cell phone rang it was his mother she call to tell him about the little party but she didn't mention inviting Johanna's family,
Johanna called home from her cell phone and told her family they were glad to go and accept,
She told Celeste hoping she could come too
Celeste plans not to miss it for she long to see jan and there's a chance she might see Tony too,
Johanna walk around the place going beyond her usual spot a step leading down to a small door caught her attention and she went down it opened up on one pushed and she entered it was a smell store room neatly packed away Johanna noticed the bicycle in the corner and went over to check it out it had a few faults twisted wheel detach brakes and and a handle was gone Johanna thought if only she can fix it, she could but she didn't see anything to but she got up to look around and found some tools in a tool box near a corner, on top of a shelf some parts from a bicycle and with hope to find something to fix the one she found she took the box and for sometime she sat working on it,
Johanna had been gone for a while a long while and jan wonder were she was, she didn't came for the afternoon session for it was almost one in the afternoon, he didn't see her by the pool for if she was he could see her from his room, she wasn't inside her room neither, and when he went to asked Ian he didn't recall seeing her after she came out back,
"Is everything alright sir?" Ian asked
"Well yes why, why did you asked?" Jan said
"Nothing sir, it's just that you're looking for miss Johanna and you seems to have this worried look on your face" Ian said,
Jan frowned and left him there, Ian smile, jan wheel himself into the kitchen to find may and miss Maclean, his intention was to go right through and back to the garden but he was intrested to know if either of them say her anywhere if she went out or what, but then her car was there in the parking space before he came in he didn't see her go by him and he was out by the garden, he was sure that he wouldn't miss her if she did, and to their relationship from the other day he was sure she wouldn't leave without saying so, Jan remember at somepoint he was on the phone with Gary then he was talking to Tony he didn't think Johanna would came and heard him on the phone and left not bothering to say
"US there something you need sir?" May ask
"No may I'm fine thank you" Jan said turning to leave, he wheel as far as to the door then turn back, "Did you by chance saw" he pause then was leaving again, but he turn around to them,
"What is it mr Reeves that you look far?" Miss Maclean asked
"Just forget it" Jan said
May and miss Maclean look at each other
Johanna had finish the bicycle fix it to perfection and wash it clean it up,
Jan wanted to know he was desperate to know and he have the feeling she wouldn't leave without telling one of the two ladies,
"Have you seen Johanna?" Jan said quickly getting it out,
Just then Johanna walk in and they all look her way, she heard jan asking but didn't say and may and miss Maclean didn't get to give an answer she doubt they could be able to tell where she was by the way,
"Look what I found" she said pushing the bicycle up to jan,
May and miss Maclean smile at each other, they watch Jan as he held on to it he smile at Johanna
"This old thing" he said
This bicycle had been in his life since high school he had won so much with it and the day It fell apart and he decided to try something new he met with the accident,
"You fix it?" He asked
"That's what it looks like to me" Johanna said
Jan smile and nod,
"Let go for a ride" she said moving away from him to go out, Jan hesitated
"Come on" Johanna said
Jan nod and followed her out,
May roll her eyes she and miss Maclean smile,
"Are you sure you want to get on that?" Jan asked They were by his gate about to go for a strole down the sidewalk in the village
Johanna smile, "I'm sure" she said as she got on feeling it to be safe enough and they rode down slowly Johanna on the bicycle and jan in his wheelchair, they got to the park and sat down on the grass after jan hot from his chair, "you ok?" He asked Johanna
"What are you worried," Johanna asked
"Worried?" Jan asked
"That I might ended up on that chair" Johanna said
Jan smile,
"Better not I'm not out of it as yet" he said
They both smile,
Johanna muscles felt tired as she stretched her limps she giggle "now that hurts" she said rubbing down her feet,
Jan pull much closer to rub them far her Johanna relax as he did so it felt so good even his hand felt strong, "you sure don't feel like a crippled the way you run my feet" Johanna said Jan laugh a loud and it makes Johanna trimble
"That's because I am not so crippled anymore" Jan said
Johanna smile feeling please he didn't felt that he was a crippled, this is to show that he's making progress,
"There's grease on your face" he said rubbing his finger across her cheek, Johanna smile,
Since she started visiting his room doing things to him he had never kiss her back but now he leaned in and kisses her a long thirst quenching kiss one that make them trimble, he ease away laying next to her they didn't say words but look in to each other eyes,
Jan was laying in bed later that night when Johanna came she just lay next to him and soon she was sleeping, Jan smile she woke him by five Saturday morning,
she woke him and they went to the small park and have one little session there doing some stretches before racing home, Jan making it home a head of Johanna he was laughing so hard that he became breathless he pull himself on the ground in the garden and for a while he lay there, after a time with him Johanna jot up to go out she was meeting with Celeste
"You going out?" Jan asked
"I'm going to meet Celeste" Johanna said
"Oh you're meeting Celeste I see" jan said
"I'll be back" she bend and kiss him she was walking away again
"Can I, is it ok if I come a long? I have nothing doinghere right now" Jan said
"Aren't your family coming soon?" Johanna asked
"I'll go numb once again waiting on their arrival" he said
Johanna smile "If you want to it's ok" Johanna said
Jan smile "How do I look do I have to change?" Jan asked
"You look presentable as always jan, you don't really need to do much to look good " Johanna turned away and jan smile becauseof her words, Johanna went in to let may and miss Maclean know that jan will be coming with her for she had told them to look after him,
Johanna was hoping that they would make it back before his family got there it was only Julia, Timothy and Barry for Lauren won't come until Thursday,
Celeste was over joyed seeing jan after ten years she had so much to say in her excitement, Johanna was glad she didn't mention her for she talked of every girl who crushed on him back then in high school, "you had secret admirer" Celeste said
"Where?" Jan asked
"In high school" Celeste said
She and jan smile

The way Jan sat smiling, it seems he kept remembering all he and Celeste talked about for he smile all the way home,
"Please remember to wrote down Celeste number for me" Jan told Johanna they were back at the house and Johanna was going off to her room,
"I'll save it for you" Johanna said
Jan hand her the phone the girl on the phone screen with jan caught her eyes she didn't need to asked for they were locked in deep kissing, she look at him an jan had a feeling that it was the picture why,
She hand him the phone and just went down the room, Jan watch her go he didn't follow he went to watch some television, Johanna was still in the room when Jan's family came she went out to greet them,
"Oh my i see you decorate for Christmas" Julia said kissing Jan's cheek
"Jonathan saw it necessary" jan said frowning
"But it is Christmas, dah!" Johanna said on hearing him,
Jan frowned more,
Julia smile, she come and greet Johanna with a hug,
Johanna greet Timothy and Barry who both hug her, they sat for tea which Johanna has made sitting in the living room "I'm glad you decided to decorate Johanna it's such a joy to see the little Christmas decorations let the place feel a little more lively" Julia said
"It's my pleasure to do so" Johanna said
"I can see you put a lot of passion in everything you do" Timothy said
"Yes I am please with the way my son is looking, so how is the sessions?" Julia said and asked
"It's coming on greatly" Jan said for he felt himself to be improving he was able to move his legs by pushing them he got of the wheelchair and climb on his bed but he can't say that he's walking hoping with some more confidence he'll be ready soon,
"I'm seeing a lot of improvement" Johanna said having witnessed jan getting out the wheelchair moving his legs pushing on the foot lift, she want to let him start walking on the stroller machine to see how well he can stand up to it she don't have to run it fast just start him at a
Slow pace until it can speed up,
They spoke at the same time and this make Julia smile, "my son will be walking real soon" she said happily "Johanna you know what you're doing I have to credit you" Johanna smile
They have dinner later and sat in the garden
"Is that you old cycle?" Barry asked with a laugh on seeing it in a corner
Julia and Timothy looked on it,
"You didn't throw that away?" Julia asked
"It was in the garage" Jan said
"It look fresh" Timothy said
"Johanna had fixed it" Jan said looking at her, Barry noticed the calm ways he look at Johanna and to him it seems they were getting a long better than before
"Johanna? Oh really!" Julia laughed "you don't strike me as a tomboy"
"I learn a thing and two" Johanna said
They smile,
"Born in the middle of two boys you eventually become boy yourself,
Half an hour later Johanna said goodnight and left the present of the Revees
"It seems that you and miss kartwell are getting on better son, than when we were here" Timothy said
"And you're not complaining" Julia said
Jan didn't speak
"She seems willing and determined to see you through, maybe you can marry her when you get back on your feet" Julia said
"Who said I'll get back on my feet mam?" Jan asked
"God know that you will you seems so much more determined now" Julia said
"Having Johanna as a therapist she taught you determination" Jan said They laugh
"I'm sure you won't regret it"
Jan was already feeling good he already got no regrets, although he fight it in the first of her arrival never wanting to encounter dealing with Johanna having her here seeing him çripple and helpless, now he has improved and can't wait to get out the wheelchair.
