"Law," She gently shook the boy. He mumbled something and rolled over. She chuckled and shook him again, a bit harder. "Law, wake up."

"Kitty?" He rubbed his eyes and sat up. "Kitty!" He jumped up and hugged her. "You're okay?"

"I'm great," She smiled at him. "Thanks to you." He looked at her with bright eyes. She smiled and sat next to him on the bed. "You're a great doctor, Law." She pulled him close to her.

"I'm sorry Kitty." Tears welled in his eyes causing him to pull his hat down over his face.

"For what?" She pulled his hat up so she could see his eyes.

"You got hurt because of me."

"Nope." She rubbed his back as the tears flowed. " I'm okay."

"But-"

"No buts." She picked him up and carried him out of the small room. " I made something to eat."

"And Cora-san." She hummed in the affirmative.

"He's cleaning himself up right now, but he'll join in a bit." She set him down and handed him a plate of food. "Eat up." He took small bites of the food first, then scared down the plate. Kitty gave a slight frown as she tried to figure out if the child went days without eating as well.

"Thank you." The child hugged the woman. "For everything."

"Listen, hun, you don't need to thank me." She hugged him back and picked up the plate from the table. Her body swayed as she stood up, causing a look of concern from the child. She brushed it off and continued back into the kitchen. After placing the plate in the sink she leaned on the counter, resting for a moment.

A wave of aliment hit her body almost immediately. Her head pounded, the room spun, the scar on her side burned and her legs wanted to give in. She slowly slid down the cabinet with her head in one hand and the other wrapped around her waist. Maybe she had done too much too fast. Bullshit. She'd done more after worse.

"Kitty?" The child peaked into the kitchen, seeing the woman doppled over in pain. "Kitty!" Law scrambled to the side of the woman.

"I'm okay." She gave him a weak smile as another lighteningbolt of pain shot through her temple.

"Wrong."  He frowned at her.

"I'm fine." She gave a weak smile and patted the boys hat. "Just tired."

"You're a piss poor liar." The child walked out of the kitchen. The woman chuckled and forced herself to her feet with the help of the counter and cabinets around her.

The room still spun slightly but the pain had subsided. She shook her eyed and blinked hard trying to get her mind back together.

"Kitty," The man appeared next to her and held her up. She sucked in a breath as she caught her swaying body against his chest. "Whats wrong?"

"I'm fine."

"I told you she'd lie." Her eyes shot a weak look to the child. She really didn't want to deal with this right now.

"Look, I'll be fine. I just need to sleep it off." She pushed herself off the man before taking a couple steps. Her body wobbled in the spinning room before falling once again into the arms of her once love. "Shit." She cursed under her breath.

"Here." The man lifted the woman into his arms. She had a quick flas back to all the times he had done so before. "Lay down." he sat her on the bed.

"This is Laws bed." She protested trying to stand back up.

"We can share." The child had followed the duo into the room. "I want to make sure you're okay." Another pain shot through her body. She winced and gave into the men's demands.

"One night." She laid back, adjusting one of the pillows behind her head. It had been a bit since she slept in her own bed, but it welcomed her back in full force.

"Are you not staying?" The man stopped in the doorway at the boys words. The man peered over his shoulder at the child who adjusted the blanket on the woman. "Don't you care?"

A small feeling was in his heart. He sighed. "I do care." The boy stared at him. "I just-"

"If you care get in." The man knew he lost. and pulled his hat off and climbed in the bed on the other side of the woman. Instinct took over and he pulled the woman close to his body.

She was ice cold, like when he pulled her out of the water. Her body shivered slightly causing him to hold her closer.

He felt guilty, and selfish, but having her in his arms was the only thing that gave him any sort of feeling. She was his drug, and all he wanted was to get high.
