About an hour and a half later, the three fall into a comfortable silence, Harry listening to music, sketching, and the other two reading. A knock on the door startled them all into looking up.
"Hi, um, are you Harry?" The boy in the doorway asks.
"I'm a Harry, yes."
"I'm Jace, um, Jason Potter."
"You're Jace? My brother Jace?"
"Yeah. I think."
"Umm..."
"Sorry, you probably don't want to see me. I didn't really have a plan here. I just kinda wanted to meet you. Maybe get to know you a little. I kinda wanna know more about dad, or if you wanted to know more about mum, then we can talk about that. Am I rambling? I feel like I'm rambling. I'll shut up now."
"It's fine. Um, nice to meet you?"
Harry holds his hand out to the reddish-brown haired boy who gladly shakes it.
"Um, can I sit in here? I've been trying to escape... everyone."
"Uh, yeah, sure. This is Faolan and Draco."
"Cool. How long have you known eachother."
"I've known this eejit since we were five and his pop found me in the woods. Faolan Byrne by the way."
"Nice to meet you."
"Malfoy I've known for-" Harry checks his watch, "just over an hour and half."
"Draco Malfoy. Pleasure to meet you." The blond nods his head towards the new kid.
"Cool, cool, cool, cool."
"Hey, Haz, Draco and I have... stuff. I couldn't think of a good excuse, we'll just go," Faolan tells him.
"It's fine."
"No. This feels like an awkward conversation I do not want to be part of."
The two walk our of the compartment.

"So... What do we do now?" Harry asks.
"I really hadn't planned this far. Um, how's life been for the past eight years?"
"Good. Sirius and Remus took me in. Uncle Reg. Pa came three years ago."
"I know. About dad. Or pa as you call him. One day he was there, the next there was broken glass on the floor and he was gone."
"I'm sorry, I guess? I don't really know how to respond."
"It's fine. They argued alot, mum and dad. They thought I didn't know, but I heard them. Even when they started putting silencing charms, I heard the beginnings. It was mostly about you, and Remus and Sirius. Then Severus."
"I'm sorry I split your parents."
"Not your fault. You didn't choose for them to abandon you after I turned into the Boy Who Lived. I kinda wish I still saw dad though."
"He misses you."
"Not enough to see me."
"He wants to. But Dumbledore and your mum won't let him. He tries to send letters."
"I don't get them. Except birthday. And I'm not allowedto contact him."
"He figured."
"You wanna know anything about mum?"
"I think I'm okay. Somehow I'm the one who ended up alright in our broken family."
"I guess."
"I can get you letters from pa though. If you want."
"Yeah, thanks."
"No problem. He'll be happy that you want to speak to him."
"Can we move away from family?"
"Sure. Um... What's your favourite quidditch team?"
"Chudley Canons."
"Damn."
"What?"
"Falmouth Falcons."
"Oh."
"I can't believe your Chudley Canons."
"You're the weirdo."
"Favourite sweet?"
"Chocolate Frog."
"Clearly. They are obviously the best. Plus they have cards."
"I know right! I've collected loads."
"Who are you missing?"
"All the founders. And some others. Have about eight Dumbledores though."
"How is he in, like, every box?"
"I don't know! I see enough of him in real life!"
"What do you mean?"
"Comes over all the time to, and I quote 'work on my magic.' I think it was a fluke that I apparently defeated the Dark Lord."
"Maybe he was just really tired that day?"
"I don't know anymore."
"Well, apparently you saved my life, so thanks for that."
"It wasn't on purpose."
"Still counts."
"Hey, what's up with your scar? If that's not rude."
"No, uh. Plank of wood fell on me as a kid."
"Is your brain okay?"
"Depends who you ask. Faolan would say no. Doctors have said I'm fine."
Jace laughs at that.

The door opens and three eleven year olds walk through.
"Hope you've vaguely figured out your situation. We got bored. But hey, look who I found," Faolan tells them, pointing to the ginger behind her.
"Where the bloody hell did you go? I've been looking for you everywhere. You left me alone with your hoard of fans," Ron complains.
"I was looking for Harry, and I found him. Harry, this is my best mate Ron Weasley. Ron, this is my twin brother Harry."
"Since when have you had a twin?"
"Since birth?"
"Okay, fair. But I've never seen him. Or heard of him."
"I've told you about his existence. I think."
"You mean your imaginary brother?"
"You had me as an imaginary friend?" Harry asks, grinning.
"Maybe. Shut up. And it's complicated Ronald. It's a long story."
"I have time."
"I can explain very well, if you want," Faolan offers.
"Go ahead, Fway."
"Well, they were born."
"Wow. What a surprise."
"Shut up Harry. Anyway, Moldy Voldy came. Tried to kill Jason. He's now the boy who lived. Harry gets basically abandoned, through no fault of either child and mostly Dumblefuck-"
"Language, Oidhre Byrne."
"Fuck off. Anyway, Harry gets taken by his pa's fruity besties."
"That is... not that inaccurate."
"Okay, are you guys telling this story or am I? So he's taken by them. Aged 8, their father breaks up with Jace's mum. Probably because of their lack of ability to ge good parents to both of their kids whilst together, no disrespect to your pa, Harry. Anyway, James goes to Harry. Jace is stuck with Snivellus and his mum, who his actually quite good to him I believe. They met a few minutes ago. I think that's it."
"That was a very generalised version. But yeah, basically."
"Bloody hell mate."
"It's fine," Jace replies.
"You sure."
"It's being fixed. Ish."
"Sure."
"Anyway, sit down. There's still, like, three hours left of the journey."
"Can't believe I'm in a compartment with a Weasley," Draco mutters, which earns him a slap on the back of the head from his betrothed.
