The term went quickly, the six getting closer and closer. It had been noticed that Faolan would often be randomly ill once a month, but it was never mentioned. All too soon, it became time to say goodbye for Christmas break.
"Come on guys. We have to get a compartment," Harry says, running ahead.
"We could just let them run and get one, whilst we go leisurely," Faolan tells Hermione and Ron, whilst Draco and Jace run ahead.
"Good idea," Ron replies.
When the three get to the compartment, Draco says, "took you long enough."
"Why run when you guys were already here?" Faolan retorts.
"They've got a point," Jace tells the other two.
"Fine," Harry sighs.
"You guys wanna play a wizards chess tournament?" Ron asks, subtly pulling the set out of his bag. There was general agreement amongst the group. Ron ended up winning, which annoyed most of the group.
"How do you always win?!?" Harry exclaimed as he won the final against Draco.
"I don't know. You guys just keep making mistakes."
"Stupid Weasley with his stupid hair and his stupid chess skills," Draco muttered, sitting stroppily in his corner.
"Aww, baby. Do you not like being beaten by others?" Faolan asked jokingly.
"Shut up."
"He's been beating me since we were six. I've come to accept the fact that I will never beat him," Jace tells the group.
"But how? What? Just, what? Ugh," Hermione was still trying to figure out how many mistakes she had made, looking at her notes on the game.
"Hermione, you are very smart and very good at alot of things. But you can't play chess to save your life. Even Harry could beat you, and I've seen him think a bishop was a pawn," Faolan tells her.
"You didn't corrected me."
"Why would I? I was winning."
"Ronald! You could give me chess lessons!" Hermione announced, ignoring Harry and Faolan.
"I mean, yeah, sure. If you want," Ron said nervously.
"We can start when we get back to school."
"Of course! I mean, yeah, sure. Whatever."
Jace smirked at his friend, who shoves him. Harry gasped dramatically, and falls against Faolan."Don't worry, agra. I got you," they told him, wrapping their arms around him, matching his dramaticness.
"Careful Haz. Anyone would think you were trying to steal my fiancé. I would have to battle you for their affection," Draco joked.
"We will fight to the death. I will never let go of them."
"Then you will die."
"Fight me, bitch."
"No Harry, I need you alive. Our child needs you alive," Faolan exclaimed, clutching the boy in their arms.
"Your child? You cheated on me?" Draco questions, playing along with the newly unfolding drama.
"That's right, honey bun. I'm pregnant. And Harry's my baby daddy."
"Is this true, my love?" Harry asked.
"I will never lie to you, agra, if it means keeping you safe."
"No, Faolan, you kill me. You break my heart," Draco clutches his chest.
"I'm sorry, honey. I have fallen out of love with you. But I need Harry to live on."
"Suck on that, Malfoy."
"I'm going to drown myself in the family lake," Draco declared.
"Merlin you lot were raised by the Black family," Jace said, rolling his eyes lovingly.
"Where else would we get our flare for drama from?" Harry asked.
"The whole childhood engagement thing is super messed up by the way," Hermione stated.
"Trust me, I know. I was raised by it. We're lucky we get along. And aren't related," Faolan told her.
"I'm sorry, what? Related?"
"Tá. Did I not explain this to you? I thought I did."
"Yeah. You just didn't mention the incest."
"Draco's his own cousin. And Harry's dad. And his uncle. Not Jace's though. I don't think. The Potters were good."
"Is that a compliment?" Jace asked.
"I don't know. The standards are fairly low. But I do like your dad, if that means anything."
"I do too. I'm glad I'm back in contact."
"He is too," Harry told him, smiling from where he's still lying on Faolan."Harry, you're a Black, right?" Hermione asked after a few minutes of odd silence.
"Lupin-Black, but yes?"
"And the Black's are an Ancient and Noble house."
"Yes."
"So there's a chance you could have been engaged to Faolan?"
"Oh no. To start, I'm originally a Potter, who, despite also being an ancient and noble house, are blood traitors, not unlike the Weasleys. Not worth anything. Plus, our mother is a muggle born. Which makes Jace and I half-bloods. Most marriage agreements are made to keep bloodlines pure, which I am not."
"And even if he was biologically a Black, his dad has been long since a stain on the family. No child of his is worth an alliance, especially not one who's gay and with a half-blood," Faolan added.
"And, all of my parents disagree with marriage contracts. Biological and adoptive."
"Interesting. Sorry if I'm prying and bring too personal or asking too many questions. Just tell me to stop when your uncomfortable. The books don't explain it very well."
"It's fine. You can ask me pretty much anything and I'll answer. It's not a big deal for me," Faolan told her.
"Thank you."
