The first few days of school went by quickly. It turned out Faolan and Harry shared most of their lessons, to the irritation of some teachers. Not that they would disrupt class, but they would compete and annoy each other. Faolan tried to rope in Hermione and Harry, Draco, but the two rarely played along. Harry got a little closer to his brother and the six (Harry, Jace, Faolan, Draco, Hermione and Ron) became a group. And by the third day of friendship, the group notice how tired Faolan is, and how ill they look.
"Hey, Faolan, you good?" Jace asks them during their lunch break.
"I'm fine. It'll pass."
"Are you sure? We can go to Madame Pomfrey."
"It'll be over in a few days. It always is."
The boy isn't that happy with the answer, but accepts it none the less. When the groups splits off and Harry and Faolan are alone, he can talk to them properly. The minute the others leave, Faolan hugs him, putting their nose in the crook of his neck to smell his scent, the scent of the pack.
"You sure your good?"
"It's just the full moon. I'll be fine."
"Do the teachers know?"
"Some do. Some suspect. You've seen me like this before. Why are you now worried?"
"You look worse than normal."
"Gee, thanks."
"You know what I mean."
"It because I'm not with the pack."
"Aren't I the pack?"
"Technically, but I need another wolf. Which I don't have."
"Oh. Can't he come in?"
"Not always. It's just going to be McGonagal and I."
"I can come."
"Risk assessment says no."
"Anything I can do to help then?"
"Not really. But it's fine. I lasted without you guys once. I can do it again."
"You nearly died."
"It'll be fine."
"I'm here. If your not fine."
"Thanks."

The next morning, Faolan isn't seen by the group until lunch.
"Hey, Faolan, you okay? We didn't see you this morning?" Jace asks them.
"Yeah. Turns out I was worse than I though. Madame Pomfrey gave me meds, so I'll be fine."
"You weren't in the common room this morning," Hermione says.
"I was feeling real bad. Went in the evening."
"So, now we've got you back, we can talk about the Potions homework. You and Draco are the best, and he won't help," Harry interjects, saving the werewolf from more questioning.
"I thought I was the only one who didn't get it," Ron replies, pulling out his parchment paper.
"It's not that hard once you get it," Jace tells them, and they all stare at him.
"So, you understand it?"
"Yes."
"And you didn't think to mention that you were good at potions?"
"I'm not."
"Dude, this is hard. For first week first years," Harry says.
"I mean, I'm half decent. I just read. Alot."
"You really didn't know?" Draco asks his roommate.
"You did?"
"I sit next to him."
"Oh ."
"Anyway, he's right. It isn't that hard. Just read the book."
"I read the book! And I'm more confused!"
"Find another book?" Faolan suggests.
"From where?" Hermione asks.
"The library?"
"THERE'S A LIBRARY?"
"No. The school just decided to abandon the development of kids by not giving then reading material."
"Take me!"
"Like, now or...?"
"Now, Faolan!"
"Well we're gonna go, before I'm murdered by a bookworm. See ya later."
"Bye guys," the others say, as their dragged by Hermione to find the library.
