Jay was a good listener. Just not in school. He listened to his friends, and helped with their problems a lot, but in school his brain makes a break. He either not listens, or it just doesn't stay in his brain. He already had so many warnings, and it was only tuesday in the second week so far. He isn't bothered by them though. He knew he wouldn't be kicked out of the school since his parents pay a lot of their needs. He is a rich kid indeed but he isn't spoiled. Well not that spoiled.

Today Jay got up extra early. He went to his nearest bakery and bought Jungwon a pastry, which was a chocolate muffin, once again. But this time, he swore himself he'll be faster than Heeseung. Also, to top Heeseung once, he also bought Jungwon a vanilla latte, with two shots expresso, knowing Jungwon can't drink caffeine well. Smirking he went to school to give it to Jungwon. This time he really was there before Heeseung.

Heeseung hasn't brought Jungwon anything that day though. Because he knew Jay was. He planned something else instead instead of using his idea of yesterday. Who was he to reuse same ideas and be on the same level as Jay, when he couldn't be better? He felt a lot of pain because of Jay and mixed that with hate. So Heeseung bought Jungwon lunch. Not the nasty-crusty cafeteria lunch though. He went to a restaurant nearby and bought teokkboki to-go. When he brought that to Jungwon, he put of his most charming smile. Jungwon took it thankfully.

Jungwon now was sure they had a crush on him. And Jungwon was not going to lie, they looked pretty attractive to thim, too. He decided to just let them do whatever they'd want and figures what to do when time comes.

This time they all sat in their own friend groups at lunch time. Jungwon because he had to gossip and Jay obviously couldn't stand Heeseung.

Jay took the offer to visit the treehouse with Jungwon back. For now. He was going to inspect it before. He planned to do that after school today.

When he came there, everything looked clean. He passed the tree where the initials  'H+J'  were scratched. Pathetic, he thought. His own best friend only wanted to be better than him. He betrayed him. He always had to be better than Jay. That's what Jay told himself. But deep inside he knew that wasn't true.

He climbed up the ladder and saw how neat everything looked. Like someone tidied all of it. That was when he saw Heeseung sitting theyre, eyes widened. "W-what are y-you doing h-here?", that was far away from usual confident Jay. "U-uh nothing I just went here because I left my-my u-uhm watch, yeah I left it here", Heeseung said. "The only watch you ever owned was a spiderman one, back in kindergarten. I doubt you were searching for it. Except for the one you are wearing right now ofcourse", Jay winked. Heeseung scoffed at his own stupidity. But then he knew: "Yeah thats the one I searched for, I just found it." "You got that watch at the beginning of the school year, meaning, if you really lost it, you're here more often." "How would you know? Are you a detective or something? Detective Jongseong?" Jay chuckled but then went back to his old self. He noticed the sparks in Heeseungs eyes went away as he went cold again. Jay nodded as a goodbye and went away.

Heeseung felt like crying. For a second it looked like Jay and him could be friends again, well looks like he missed. What has he done wrong? Why was Jay avoiding him for so long?

Eventually he cried. Evenually he screamed. He let his pain out for the first time. He screamd, and screamed until it turned to sobs. The past hurts and the present made it worse. Looking at him gets everything back up. The happy times. The giggles. The admiration. That turned into pain, death glares and hate.

And Jay? Jay heard his crying, his screams and his sobs. But he just turned around and went home. He did wait until Heeseung was done so he could stop him from stupid things. That didn't mean he cares for him though. He just knows Heeseung isn't like that often, when he is then it hardly ends without something broken. It also didn't this time. It was a vase with fake flowers this time.

Next they in school went perfect. Well, it did for Jay. Heeseung didn't even turn up. While Jay asked Jungwon out to go to an opening skating rank, Heeseung lied in his bed, feeling nothing.

After hours he decided to get up and search for the box under his bed. It was a box of photos he had with Jay. They had a good amount of them. He went through all of them. Heeseung wanted to rip apart every single one. He didn't, because he knew he would cry after that. That was when he knew he needed to just let the past be the past. He wouldn't have to try being friends with Jay again. He only wanted one thing: Jungwon. And maybe to give Jay back all the pain. But that should work along the first thing.
