Forgive me: An Aonung story

The war begins

Before our father made it onto the ship Payakan came flying out of the water, landing on the demon ships deck squashing some avatars beneath him. He was saving us..Payakan was really saving us again, Lo'ak was right.

Chaos erupted on the boat as everyone started to shoot at Payakan, but his skin was too tough for the bullets to do any damage. He lifted his fins flicking avatars away, slapping some with his tail, Lo'ak kicked a avatar over to Payakan as he squashed him under his fin.

Our father took this as a chance to attack, he let out a war scream as he darted forward, the whole clan following behind him. We were going to be saved, I was going to be okay, I don't want anything to happen like last time... my only concern now is for Aonung. We got split up, I don't know where he went or if he's even okay. I can only pray to Eywa to keep him safe now.

Payakan kicked the bridge above him with his tail sending sky people into the air, falling harshly back onto the deck. If it didn't kill them it definitely did some damage.. the sky people's boats started circling around to try and get a good shot of the Tulkun. But he was smarter, as they took their shot he ducked his head down, sending it flying into the air as it bounced off the helmet of his head. He soon dove back down into the water out of our sights, he helped us up here as much as he could.

"Nàlàni are you okay?" Tsireya asks checking in on me, "I want to go home" I say quietly to the girl, "how's your head?" She questions again, "sore" I say with a slight chuckle. "I'll be okay" I say this time trying to reassure her. However, I didn't exactly feel ok. My head was pounding and my vision was slightly blurred, but then my head was whacked against some metal ..

Demon planes crashed down from the sky as my mother flew on her Ikran with her bow, shooting them all down. The warriors leapt out of the sea spearing demon drivers where they could, sending them into the rocks. It was chaos, crashes were happening everywhere, a boat soon crashed into the ships propellers as Payakan flicked it into the air. A fire had now started to spread on the ship, when out of nowhere it started to dart forward.

The ship flew over a set of rocks sending us up into the air, quickly landing back down with a massive thud. "Everyone okay?" Lo'ak questions us all as we nod to him in response. We all try pulling on the cuffs again trying to get loose, but it was no use they were too strong. Lo'ak tried to kick in the metal frame, he had managed to dent it but not enough so that we could get free. I kept praying to Eywa for our safety.

It was as if our prayers answered, my older brother appeared on the ship with Aonung, "Aonung" I shout out with relief. "Hey baby siblings need some help" Neteyam says to us mockingly, "shut up. Come on get us loose" Lo'ak says rolling his eyes. Aonung was quick to come by my side as he checked me over, "you okay. What happened!" He asked worries as he looked at my bruised face. "They slammed my face to the railing.." I say in a whisper, I could instantly see rage filling his eyes as he cut me loose. "I'll kill them" he says through gritted teeth.

He brought me into his embrace giving me a tight hug, "I was so worried." He says as he places a gentle kiss on top of my head. "Me too" I say back to him quietly. I watch as Lo'ak got cut free but rather than following Neteyam he walked over to a dead avatar taking his gun. "They've got spider. We've gotta get him. Come on" Lo'ak pleads as Neteyam shakes his head. "We can't leave him" my twin pleaded again as Neteyam gave in grunting in frustration.

I stepped away from Aonung as I approached my brothers, "I'm coming too" I says as Aonung and my brothers in unison said "no" I let out a sigh. "No come on you're coming with me. You're hurt" Aonung says sternly, "no. Me and Lo'ak do every stupid thing together. It's what we do. I am not leaving my twin. My head will be fine" I say back to Aonung sternly, I could tell he was hurt by my words. "Fine. But you better come back safe" he says as he starts to walk off "I promise" I say back trying to give him some reassurance.
