I felt myself walking down the dark alley, looking out of place, not dressed properly. I felt the eyes of the people I walked by stare at me. I was confused, looking at the address my friend, Charlotte, gave me. I felt like I recognized it and I did. Admirals Arms, a very bad memory. It was a place I had to investigate when I was working for the Talamasca, which was a paranormal finding group, but I will get into that later. We were supposed to go to a bar, but I didn't see her outside. I was terrified of what happened to her since the bar was a Vampire bar, every human that walked in there got eaten or disappeared. I thought she was already inside so I ran to the door, opened it and felt the eyes of everyone look upon me. They knew who and what I was and I knew what they were. I wasn't terrified, I was just ready for the attack. I sat down at the bar and went to call Charlotte. No service, of course. Everyone was touching each other weirdly and sucking on each other's necks. Yep, Vampire's alright. I looked around the bar and stared at the yellow eyes of a Vampire in the shadows, looking straight at me, with no expression. I saw him slowly walk out and realized it was Marius De Romanus, a Vampire from 900 B.C. The giveaway was the bright red coat he always wore. I knew if I looked away he would be gone, he did that to Lestat, who I will talk about later a lot.
"Shit, here we go again." I went to look around and of course when I turned around and he was there.
"Hello there-"
"What do you want, I just want to find my friend and leave, no trouble. My friend, Charlotte... She sent me the address and I had to come immediately. You know what I am and I know what you are, Marius- so let's get this over with, no games. Where is she?" I asked and looked around, everyone staring at me still. I didn't hate the attention they gave, I would rather be left alone, however. Marius stared at me with a look I had seen quite often. He was surprised by my knowledge, or lack of it for that matter. Everyone was staring at me and it was kinda intense, I still think of that day to this day. The TV came on and it was Lestat DeLioncourt, a fledgling that Marius turned. He wrote music and autobiographies, which I ended up reading over one-hundred times. I realized then and there that it had started, all over again, I would see him again, just like I wanted.
"You know Lestat?" He asked as I could feel him walk closer to me. He walked beside me and stared at the t.v screen as I did.
"Forsaken... When that song comes on it is always a bad omen, something bad always happens and it plays a lot. One time a day, it wasn't just luck, I never believed in coincidences." I looked at Marius who looked at me, which made him smirk for some odd reason.
"I feel as if we know each other."
"You don't know the half of it. Where is Charlotte?" I felt a familiar gaze so I slowly looked to my right and I saw Lestat looking through the window, smiling his grin which always made me smile. I jumped up and went outside, everyone gathering at the door to make sure I didn't leave.
"Lestat where... Please come back to me." I stood there with complete anger and sadness, which wasn't a very good combo for me and looked around to see he wasn't there. I sighed and burst back into the bar.
"Where is Charlotte? I have no intent on killing you, unless, well, it comes to it. I will take her with me and we won't bother you ever again."
"You mean her," a woman asked as she pointed behind the counter. It was her, in a pool of blood. I backed up and saw that even Marius was confused by the body behind the counter. He didn't even know she was there. I wouldn't have even been able to kill him even if I wanted to, not even if Marius had killed Charlotte, which told me I never truly got over it. I got very angry and looked around.
"Who killed her, which one of you killed her?" They looked around and a man stood up and began to grin. I pulled out a knife and threw it straight through his neck, completely decapitating him. Everyone gasped and began to stand up, staring at the dead Vampire.
