I woke up in the morning and I looked around, remembering I had been in Lestat's room. I got out of bed and I went downstairs very slowly and I headed to the kitchen. I made a nice breakfast and I watched tv, chilling out that day. I ended up falling asleep while watching tv and I woke up to someone sitting next to me. A hand was held out for me to grab onto and so I did and I sat up, looking at Lestat.
"You mustn't panic, Emma," he started out and I looked at him with confusion now. I got closer to him and he looked down at me.
"What do you mean, Lestat? What should I not panic about?" Lestat kept staring down at me and I was beginning to panic.
"Evelien is missing." I stared in shock and I tried to get off the couch but Lestat pulled me back. I looked up at him and he looked down at me again.
"Lestat, we have to find her. Where did she go? What is she doing, what-" he put his hand over my mouth and I grabbed it.
"I told you not to panic."
"How am I not supposed to panic? She is my friend and she is missing. What the fuck is going on, Lestat? Please, tell me." Lestat sighed and I held his hand.
"The others are out looking for her right now. There is not a thing as to where she went or anything. She could easily be out at the store or something like that. But just in case, they are looking for her." I begin tracing the lines in his hand and I look up at him.
"Can you tell where she is? You turned her, right?" Lestat nodded but shook his head after. He sighed and he sat down next to me.
"It doesn't exactly work like that. It can but it doesn't for me and her."
"Why, what is so different between you and her?" Lestat looked at me and leaned back on the couch.
"We didn't have a bond. There was no connection between us before she was bitten." I looked at him in a confused manner.
"But there wasn't a connection between you and Marius before you were turned, but he was still able to find you wherever you went." Lestat sighs and I get closer to him. I really did want to learn what it was like.
"No, but after there was a connection, a sort of friendship. Me and Evelien never had a connection after either. It would be different with you and I and I am not ashamed to admit that now. I would be able to tell exactly where you were if you went somewhere right now because of how close we have gotten." I just stare up into his eyes and I move the hair out of his face.
"Can you promise me something?" He stared down at me and he nodded his head after a few short seconds.
"Maybe, yes." I smiled and tried to think about this without sounding... needy.
"Can you promise to never leave me?" I looked down at my hands and I tried to keep eye contact away from him.
"Yes," he said and I looked up at him and I smiled again. I hugged him, knowing it may not be us together forever, but that he would now try to keep us as a duo, that he would never intentionally leave me. I heard the others come in and the looks on their faces looked as if they weren't happy. I stood up and Lestat followed suit.
"You didn't find her, did you?" Marius shook his head and sighed. Pandora walked over to me and grabbed my hands, moving some of the hair out of my face.
"Where are places you two know? Maybe she isn't even missing, maybe she is just out somewhere." I shake my head and sit back down on the couch.
"No, she wouldn't just leave like that. She is more afraid than ever before, she wouldn't leave without telling one of us first or bringing one of us along." Armand sat down next to me and Lestat did the same. I got a really good idea and so I decided to do it, I just had to wait for the perfect moment. I sat there and began to rack my brain while I waited of places that I knew of. They obviously took her for some reason and the only one I could think of was because of me. They finally began to have a group meeting and so I zoned out.
