I woke up to a knock at the door, which I was dreading to answer. I got up and I went over, opening it anyway to see my Mom.

"Hey, Honey, do you have a minute to spare?" I knew something was wrong so I decided not to fight her about it. I nodded and let her in, sitting her down on the couch.

"What's wrong, what happened?" She sighed and I could tell she was frightened. She nodded and she was shaking.

"Your sister was at my house last night and we were attacked." I was confused by her statement.

"What do you mean attacked?"

"A Vampire." I was stunned by this answer. I got up off the couch and decided I had to do something about it. I nodded and looked back at her.

"Tell me everything about this Vampire and I will take care of it." She shook her head and stood up, walking over to me.

"Maybe you should take your sister with you, this is going to be dangerous if you go alone." I nodded, understanding that.

"I know, but I am not going to risk more lives than I already have to. Tell me what he looks like and I will be able to do something."

"Fine, fine. He has red hair, blue eyes, and an Irish accent. He said he was looking for you." I nodded and Seraphina and Ravana came out of nowhere to greet me.

"We know what you did last night, Emma. It was reckless and you shouldn't have done it, do you hear me?" Seraphina was mad, and I could understand why, but I wasn't going to let her control me because of a little sadness.

"I understand it was reckless, but it had to be done. I had to help, it was just what happened." Ravana hit Seraphina's arm and whispered something in her ear.

"And you're planning to do it again. I understand that your Mother was in danger, but you are not in the right place to do this right now."

"I think she will be fine, she is strong. You know she is still alive from last night. She can handle one Vampire." My Mother looked at me and looked at my neck, realizing my wound.

"What happened to your neck?" I looked back at her and sighed.

"Vampire last night. I took them out."

"THEM? There was more than one? Emma, maybe you shouldn't do this, you are in a fragile state right now, maybe you should just stay here and stay safe." I shook my head and I went back to my room, sat down, getting out my pain supplies.

"I am not going to let him do shit anymore. That was his last show, now it is my turn to run it. Tonight I will come to your house and I will watch it and if he comes I will kill him. I will be there watching over every second." My Mom sighed and shook her head.

"Reckless child." Seraphina said and my Mother held out her hand.

"No, it is my fault. The Vampire attacked me and I asked her for help. If anything I should help, but I don't know how."

"You can't, I can do it." I began to paint, ending the conversation. I understood Lestat in so many ways, of people yelling at him for shit. I understood it and I had the last twenty years of my life. It got tiring and boring to listen to people yell at you for saving lives. Even if it meant risking your own. I painted for hours, waiting for nightfall, eating, watching tv, doing anything to pass the time. When it was finally sunset I headed out with my box of matches and my knife and I headed to my mother's house. I waited and sat for a while, waiting for this Vampire to show up. I was waiting for about twenty minutes when I heard my car door open and someone got in. I put my knife to their neck, only to realize it was Lestat.
