Evelien woke up and immediately went to Emma's room, but she wasn't in there. Evelien began to panic and she went to Marius, who had just woken up.
"I just woke up and there is already something wrong?"
"Where is Emma?" Marius looked up at her and he hurried to Emma's room, not seeing her. Lestat came down the stairs and both Evelien and Marius looked up at him. He stared at them with confusion as they had a worried look on their face.
"What now?"
"Where is Emma?" Marius asked and Lestat sighed and began walking up the stairs. They followed him and they all looked at her as she slept.
"You let her sleep in here?" Evelien asked and Lestat nodded, staring down at Emma. He sighed and looked at the other two.
"What?"
"Nothing," Marius said, looking down at Evelien as she looked up at him. They thought it was weird, but they didn't mention it. They both headed back downstairs, Lestat not following them. Evelien and Marius both sat down on the couch with the others and they all looked at each other.
"Noticed a difference in Lestat lately?" Evelien asked and they all nodded their heads. They had all noticed this chance in Lestat.
"It's because of her," Armand said and Pandora nodded her head.
"He finally found someone he can confide in. And of all people it is the sweetest girl on the planet," Pandora commented and Evelien giggled, knowing that was true. Lestat stayed up in his room, listening to the things they said about him. He didn't know if it was true at first, but as he looked over at Emma, who was still asleep... he knew it had to be true. He went over to the bed and he sat on the floor beside it.
"We should probably eat. I'll go get Lestat." Louis headed upstairs and entered Lestat's room, noticing Emma was in there.
"You know, it's rude to speak of people behind their backs," Lestat taunted and Louis sighed and walked over to Emma, looking at her wound before looking down at Lestat.
"Oh, you cannot speak, Lestat. You do it all the time." Lestat smirked, knowing that was also true. He sighed and looked up at Louis.
"I'm not hungry." Louis was shocked by this. How was Lestat of all people not hungry for some blood?
"Are you not hungry... or do you just not want to leave her side?" Lestat knew he was hungry and he had to eat, but he would rather not if it meant staying here with her.
"I'll pass," he said and stayed on the floor, right next to Emma.
"Okay, if you say so." Louis left Lestat and headed back downstairs. Everyone was confused when they didn't see Lestat following.
"Where is Lestat?"
"Staying here with Emma." They all found this... good, but they decided not to push and they all headed out to eat. Lestat looked up at Emma, who was still asleep and he put a hand on her shoulder, making sure she hadn't died on him.
"Wake up." I woke up to a hand on my shoulder and I freaked out and sat up. It hurt and I grabbed my stomach. I looked up and saw Lestat standing there.
"Lestat, what the fuck are you doing up?" I blinked to clear my eyes and he looked at me with confusion.
"What do you mean? It's night." I looked up at him in shock and I got out of the bed and looked outside. It was night.
"Holy shit." I stared out the window and watched as people walked and cars drove by.
"You slept the whole day?"
