The dancer life

Chapter 2 Michael's POV

I lay in my bed, unable to sleep at all.
I was so close to asking out Shannon,
but of course that opportunity was ruined, yet again.

I've really liked Shannon since forever and I've been wanting to ask her out for a really long time now. But whenever I get the chance, it gets ruined.

I can never stop watching her dance. I loved everything about her dancing style, how everything about her, and her dancing was perfect. I know that she can probably feel my stare while she dances, but that's okay. It would be a crime to ignore Shannon.

She is an amazing person. She is beautiful inside and out and is one of the nicest people I've ever met. Words can't really explain how much I care about her. I just wish she knew...

I'm sure she only thinks of me as just another dance friend. She never leaves any signs that she likes me, so it has to be true.

Or is she just really good at hiding it?

I just then remembered that I told her would text her at dance. I grabbed my iPhone 5s off the night stand and began to text away.

me: hey

Shannon : hey

me: what's up

Shannon: soooo stressed

me: about?

Shannon: Oireachtas this year. Just everything about it.

me: don't stress, your gonna do amazing just like you always do.

Shannon: you think so?

me: I know so

Shannon: that really means a lot to me, thank you :)

me: no prob :)

Shannon: I believe you had to ask me something?

this was it. this was it. but I didn't wanna ask her out over the phone?

me: oh um I was gonna ask if you had any duct tape for my shoes but I found some

I lied. I couldn't do this over the phone.

Shannon: oh, ok.

Shannon: I'm gonna go back to sleep. Goodnight.

me: night

I hope she's not mad. Oh wait, she probably is.

She was probably expecting something more than just asking for some stupid duct tape. I just can't believe that I used that as an excuse.

I'm asking Shannon out tomorrow at dance, and I'm going to do it.

I turned off my phone and drifted off to sleep in a matter of minutes.
