The bear wouldn't show up
As his life wouldn't grow up
He slept all day long
And dreamt of a tuneless song
He didn't know what was wrong
Called it winter
as he dozed off
under a candle light
He just wouldn't show up
As everyone pleased
He just wouldn't show up
Even if the Jungle ceased
Nestled up in the blanket
He had his winter in his pocket
Until his eyes would open again
He just dreamt of a song
and lived by
He just wouldn't show up
For the party under the moonlight
And even at times when the fishes came knocking on his door
He held on to his winter
As the days got tougher
Inside his house of wood cabin
He just lay there
Eyes pressed tight
Some old memories
Shuffled like a deck of cards
He was trying to remember
the songs
his mom put him to sleep with
He slept all day long
All days throughout the year
Called it winter and snoozed off
Like a frozen kite
On a stormy night.
