Charles POV

When I walked into the Redbull garage and saw her with him, I felt like my heart had just me snapped. I know that I can't say much, we dated ages ago and I went out with Amanda, she went out with Lando and we both moved on. But even with the heartbreaking reality that the concept of us becoming a thing was utterly impossible I still couldn't help but think that we were meant to be together.

Everytime I'm with her, a smile always appears on my face, every negative feeling or emotion I have vanishes within seconds of talking to her.

I liked Amanda, I truly did but with the recent events that made me realise how big of mistake it was to be with her and now my chance at being with the one girl who I can always pick out from any crowd, who makes me feel like I can be the best version of my self was slipping away all because of the poor choices I made just that year ago.

"What's up, why did you drag me away," Arthur's words dragged me out of my thoughts.

"I just wanted to tell you that Lorenzo wants to talk to you so he wants you to call him as soon as you can," I whispered, my head pounding for some paracetamol

"I'll call him when I get to the hotel," a concerned look on his face as I brought my hand to my forhead.

I turned around to walk away but he grabbed my arm, preventing the distance between us from increasing.

"You don't look good," he muttered bringing his hand to my forhead, "Charles, your burning up." Worry flashed across his face.

"Yeah, I haven't exactly been sleeping or eating well ," I admitted, a stupid laugh topping my statement off even though it was anything but laughable.

"It's not funny Charles, I'm taking you to your hotel room," he demanded.

If I went home now it would mean that I'd miss FP1 but at this current moment I didn't feel like I could bring myself to even stay conscious is I sat down in my car.

Arthur texted someone, who I assume to be my radio engineer to make him aware of my absence before leading me to my car.

I hate sitting in the passenger seat and I also hate him driving my car but I didn't have the strength to argue considering I also didn't want to leave my car here overnight.

The car ride seemed painfully long, my head felt like there was someone continuously kicking a football at me. My vision was slightly blurred along with a constant ringing in my ears. It felt like the worst hangover of my life.

I can't exactly remember how long we were in the car for, my memory of that day is a slight bit fuzzy. After the car ride, we walked to the hotel, my arm slung around my brother's shoulders just I case I lost my balance. Arthur led me to his hotel room wanting to keep an eye on me. He lead me to the room before heading to the couch.

The second I Laid down, sleep found me easier than I had expected.

I was sat in the booth at the club in Turkey, everyone celebrating Lewis' World championship win. Mila and Julia were both out on the dance floor, smiling and singing along to the music that was blaring from the speakers.

Her blonde hair bouncing from her shoulders, swaying her head along to the beat. The blue eyes that I have found comfort in many times, glistening in the multicoloured LEDs.

"T'es tellement amoureux mec (You're so in love dude)," Arthur teased, observing the way I looked at her.

"tais-toi Arthur (shut up Arthur)," I laughed.

I walked to my Girlfriend, leaving my brother at the booth, Julia took that as her cue to re-trace my steps and go to my brother leaving me with Mila.

"You sent away my dance partner," she yelled jokingly.

"I'll be your dance partner," I whispered in her ear, the smell of her cherry scent flooding my nose.

I took her hand in mine, swirling her around before catching her waist with my other hand.

Her smile grew wider, in sync with mine. It would be our two year anniversary just two months after her twentyth birthday. I couldn't remember a time where she wasn't in my life and I don't ever want to remember that time especially how good I know life to be when she is in it.

"I love when you smile," her words wrapped around my heart.

"I love you Mila," I muttered into her neck.

I gave her a small, gentil kiss before looking intently into her eyes advertising all of her emotions.

"I love you Cha," she replied, pulling me into a hug.

I snapped awake, hearing the voices of My brother and his best friend, this is going to be a great explanation.
