He pulled me along with him as he made his way down the steps of the cliffside that ended on the golden beach of the coast.

We walked along the beach, hand in hand, both of us smiling as wide as possible.

"I wanted us to be the first ones to walk along the beach," he spun me in a circle making laughter escape my mouth.

His gaze remained on me even when I placed my hand rightfully back in his.

I smiled as him as I watched him stare in my direction.

"Hey," I gently shook his hands in mine as I attempted to change his expression.

"What? Do I have something on my face?" I joked as his eyes met mine.

"No it's just-."

I gave him a confused look as I waited for him to continue his sentence.

"I'm so gland you said yes in Canada," his mention of Canada made my mind flash to our memories from earlier in the year.

"I am as well," those two months, I'd been completely head over heels for him the entire time and I couldn't have imagined how my life would have been if we had never resolved our problems.

He took both of my hands in his, standing in front of me so his gaze sat firmly on mine.

"I don't know how I lasted almost two years of my life without you but I did learn something in those two years," His dimples sat in his cheeks as he smiled from ear to ear.

"What?"

"That I don't want to lose you again," he placed his hands on my waist to prevent me from leaving his gaze.

My hands glided up and down his arms, my smile mirroring his.

He took a deep breath, he opened his mouth but no words escaped his lips. His mouth closed and then reopened but this time words did reach my ears.

"I love you," he said abruptly, trying to say it before he lost all confidence.

I wasn't until my hands found their way to his cheeks and a subtle smile spread across my face that he finally relaxed.

"I love spending time with you, and being able to see your smile everyday. I love the feeling of happiness I get when I'm with you. I love you," I brought my lips to his, a smile formed on his face at the brief contact.

"I love you so much, you won't even understand," I answered back, our foreheads resting against each other's.

He pulled me into a tight hug, his arms were wrapped around my waist while mine were wrapped around his torso. It was a hug that made me feel safe and protected, a hug that I wanted to last forever.

I looked out to the horizon, questioning to myself and hoping that it wasn't just a dream.

We were laid on the soft coastal sand, we were meant to be cloud gazing, she was but I wasn't, instead, I watched her.

I couldn't bring myself to believe anything that has happened within these past few months but as I looked at her, I knew that I didn't regret a single thing.

"Do you wanna head back?" I asked, wiping a strand of hair from her face.

"Sure," I placed a kiss on her lips before taking her hand in mine, helping her up from the sand.

We walked back to the house, my arm sat around her shoulder with my hand interlocked with hers. Julia and Kelly were sat outside talking, both of their gazes falling on us then we walked through the gate.

"I'm going to go to them two," she stated, pulling me into a hug and kissing my cheek before making her way to the two girls.

I walked into the house noticing Max who was sat in the corner of the living room on his phone. I made my way towards him, sitting in the seat beside him.

"Hey, how was your walk," he asked, placing his phone on the table.

"It was good," I looked through the glass to my girlfriend who was laughing along to something Kelly said.

"Charles?" My gaze snapped back to Max at the mention of my name.

"Can you promise me something?" His expression was deadly serious which made me feel weird considering Max is almost never serious.

"Depends."

"Promise me that you won't hurt her again," his voice has a hint of sternness in it.

I understood completely how he felt, if Arthur was in Mila's shoes I would also be slightly worried but I never wanted to hurt her.

"I promise. That's the last thing I want to do, I love her, I really do. I don't know how I lived them two years of my life without her in it but now I know that I want to be with her everyday," I explained, there was nothing in my words that I lied about and Max clearly understood that.

"Thank you," he sounded genuinely grateful .

Arthur had a similar conversation with me a few weeks prior to the holiday, obviously he wasn't as stern about it but they both did it for the same reason, they both care about her.

"Do you have any idea what we are meant to be eating?" I asked, changing the subject after the conversation seemed to have come to a close.

"We could make something?" I did like cooking and it seemed like a decent idea but there was I slight issue.

"If I do any of the cooking, everyone will complain that I'll set the house on fire. In my opinion, I don't think I'm that bad of a cook."

"How about I do anything that revolves around an oven and you can cut up the  ingredients?" It  seemed like a good compromise.

We made our way to the kitchen, getting a few confused looks from everyone else but after a few minutes their shock passed and they returned back to their conversations leaving us to make the food without any complaints.
