Narrator's Pov:
When Tenma looked down his window, he could find his best friend climbing the stair that was positioned a second before.
He was happy that Kyousuke was always there for him, every time he needed him, he was there.
But someone else noticed Kyousuke climbing into Tenma's room.
Ishido Matsukaze. He was watching from his room's window when he noticed the young aspiring soldier sneaking in his son's room.
He of course didn't say anything, cause he knows how much they like to spend time together, and also, he wouldn't have resisted his son's doggy eyes praying him to let Kyousuke stay.
Was he too kind? His wife would have said yes but for him, he wasn't. He loved his son with all his soul and he wanted him to leave his last days as a teenager in the best way.
Anyway, coming back to the two young men.
Kyousuke was sitting on the window lace, in his "usual cool" way, or at least that was tenma's thinking in that exact moment.
Kyou: Here I am my prince
The boy said slightly bowing before his friend, using a sarcastic/funny tone.
T: Oh shut up!
He said Tenma, covering his face "slightly" embarrassed but also laughing for his friend's sudden galantry.
Kyou: Are you, embarrassed?? *chuckle*
Kyousuke was amused by Tenma's reaction, it's not the first time he was joking like this, and even the first time he did it Tenma didn't react this way, strange..
Kyou: Soooo why did you call me? Indead of, coming to my house?
(P.S Kyousuke's house is beside the castle, it was Ishido idea as a gift for how much Kyousuke's father did to the royal family)
T: My mom grounded me, I can't leave my room for the rest of the day.
Kyou: What?! Why? What did you do?
T: *slightly whispering* Shhhh don't scream! My mom will hear you! And by the way, I kiiiinda got mad at her for the village issue.
Kyou: Wow- I can't imagine you screaming at your mom, it sounds- odd, you always seem so scared of her. Where did all that courage come from?
He said slightly laughing at the end.
T: I don't know.. I guess I was sick of her always trying to control my life, reminding me that "I wIlL sOoN bE tHe KiNg", telling me to know all the rules even tho their all abnormal and nonesense! I always have to be perfect when the only thing I want right now is being someone else! Someone who's free! Someone who doesn't have to be perfect or has to learn some stupid rules.
Tenma was now walking in circle in front of Kyousuke, still sitting on the window lace.
Kyou: Wow wow calm down wirlwind. First of all, stay still you're making my head spin, and second of all, whining about your life won't make any change. *Sigh* Listen, you know that I care about you right? And you know that I will never give you bad advice, on purpose.
T: Yeah I know..
He lowered his head, not wanting to look his friend in his eyes.
Kyousuke than stood up and walked toward Tenma, placing his hands on his shoulders
Kyou: Good. Now listen to me, I know how hard life can be, my big brother Yuuichi died of illness remember? You know how much I suffered for his death, and how I wanted to disappear, run away from everything, I was lost in the darkness, but you stopped me! You helped me get out of that dark, you hepled me carry on. Don't you remember that? How much I cried on your shoulder after hinding my sadness for that long time? You helped me when I needed it, and now I want to help you.
In the last sentence, Kyousuke raised Tenma's head placing one of his hands under his chin.
Now the blond head was watching his friend eyes, they were soft and gentle even if they were narrowed, and could look kinda menacing.
He could stay hours looking at them, without getting bored, but of course that would have brought an embarrassing silence.
Tenma smiled at him, he was glad to have a friend like Kyousuke beside him. Even if his life wasn't perfect, even if his life had its up and down, he knew that were people who loved him by his side such as his father, his little brother and Kyousuke.
T: Thank you Kyou, I don't know what I would do without you.
As he finished his sentence he hugged Kyousuke tightly, and of course the blue-head he didn't shrink back from returning his gesture of affection.
Kyou: You'll probably do something stupid.
T: Ehy! What do you mean by that??!
Kyou: *laughing* nothing nothing.
Tenma couldn't keep his angry face that he started laughing as well, Tenma really wouldn't have done anything without Kyousuke, and Kyousuke couldn't do anything without Tenma.
They complemented each other, they were opposites of each other, and it was this that brought them closer and closer.
The room's door was slightly open, but enough for Aoi and Takito to spy on the two "best friends".
A: *whispering* sooo they are "friends"?
Ta: *whispering* Yep...
A: *whispering* Are they gonna realize it one day?
Ta: *whispering* I hope so, or I'll go insane!
A: *whispering* What if we help them?
Ta: *whispering* Good idea!
T'Dad: *whispering* Why are you guys whispering?
Takito and Aoi jumped in fear for the king's sudden appearence.
Ta: *whispering-screaming* Dad you scared us!
T'sDad: *whispering* Eheheh... sorry.. so why are you guys spying on Tenma and Kyousuke?
Ta: *whispering* Because Tenma says they are just friends even if they definitely have a crush on each other! And now we want to help them realize it.
T'Dad: *whispering* Ohhh ok, well good luck then, but don't be too intrusive.
Ta: Okayyyy.
T'Dad: Ok, if you need me I'm in my room.
And so Ishido walked towards his room.
Ta: Okay it's decided, the mission "Kyouten" it's started.
A: "Kyouten"? Where did you get that name?
Ta: Well... I united the first letters of their names, that's all.
A: Ok then, ready to make them engaged?
Ta: Of course!
And so they looked at each other with determination.
Mission Kyouten as now started.
