Chapter 14: The New Runaway

The next day they made their way to the house after seeing their grandparents off. When they returned took care of the animals first. Then they ran a training stimulation. "Ok, so are you ready to do this as a group?" Asked Katey.

"Wait we haven't ever done this!" Said Charlie.

"Well you can do a separate one first." Said Katey.

"I think that's better idea." Said Charlie.

"Ok follow me, Arylean and Copper your up." Said Katey to him and Cait. Once in the monitor room she said to the others. "Alright you all ready?" Then she started the exercise with the help of David and Oliver.

It went very smoothly and afterward Arylean came back to the monitor room and said. "Well it's your turn. Good luck." To Charlie and Kaitlyn.

"We won't need it." Charlie said, very confident. Cait laughed under her breath. "Stay and watch how it is done, boys and girls."

"Wow, they better do well or he's really in deep." Said Katherine.

"Oh yeah!" Agreed Danny. They waited for the stimulation to began.

"You shouldn't have done that, Charles." Cait said mentally to what she thought was herself, but it actually went to Arylean. "We're gonna fail."

Arylean stayed and watched Cait's movements. It began normally and it was a disaster. Charlie caused everything to fail and Kaitlyn really did try to it everything in order. "Well you killed everyone but yourself, Charlie." Said Arylean. "Congrats." Mocking him.

"That's not what was supposed to happen." He said mentally to himself, but accidentally sent it to Copper. "I wanted them to see me as smart and capable."

Copper sympathizing with him, Cait said. "I knew that was going to happen." She was talking to Arylean and Katherine who were about to respond when Charlie heard her.

"How could you know that? You didn't even try did you?" He yelled.

"So your saying I'm the weak link?!" Yelled Cait.

"Yes!" Said Charlie, usually the agreement would have ended right there.

But Cait was not having it anymore. She had made sure that she never blew him up. See Charlie's parents favored him , so she catered him and kept him calm. But now Arylean, Katherine, Chris, Copper, Danny, Sarah, Robert, Katey, Oliver, and David had showed her a new kind of love and friendship. It was her turn and she didn't care. She yelled at him. "I really can't believe you think I'm the problem." She finished and stormed out.

"Well that was dramatic and unnecessary!" Said Charlie. "I think she owes me an apology." He said snobbishly and started to walk away.

"I can't believe it." Said Arylean.

"You're crazy! She tried hard and she loves you. You just treated her worse than I have treated Arylean!" Yelled Copper. "You need to end this attitude and show her some respect and get like you care just a little bit! You let her died and saved yourself." He realized that he was holding Charlie up by his shirt. He put him down easily, then glaced at Arylean and quietly walked out of the room.

"What's with him lately?" Asked Arylean, deeply concerned.

"I knew we should have been worried!" Said Katherine, gently backhanding Danny's arm.

"And you didn't think to tell me!" Said Arylean, then she ran downstairs and began to search for Copper. She finally checked the stables and found Ember missing. She hopped on Snowflake and dashed after him. She searched and searched.

Meanwhile, Copper went to where he had found Arylean first hiding. He stopped and thought about the panic she goes into at times and tried to figure out how many he caused.
