Veronica's POV

"Doll, Let me take out the thing on you" The man said walking towards me.

"B****, You are a liar" Adrian's face appeared.

"You don't deserve love. You deserve to die" They said in unison walking towards me.

I want to die.

I can't take them anymore.

I want to leave this world and go to safe place.

I have to lose my breathe to die.

"Wake up!" Someone's voice said.

Lips touched my forehead and something wet fell on my cheek. It sensed like a drop.

"Please Wake up" Voice said again.

I don't want to wake up. I am done with this life.

I saw someone sitting beside me and the dark room was lighted only with one single lamp.

My eyes widened at the sight of the person who was there. Ryan!

Am I not dead yet?

"You're awake?" Ryan said with cheerful smile.

"No. I am not." I tried to speak as loud as possible but ended up whispering and tightly squeezed my eyes shut.

"Let me call the doctors" Ryan said walking out of the room.

My head, stomach were aching bad and I felt my leg and hand not easily movable.

I tried to get up but ended up falling back.

"Vero" Sally ran to me smiling wide.

"You're awake!OMG! You're awake!"She said hugging me tight which made my body ache.

"Sally,Go away. You are hurting me" I said trying to get out of her hug.

"Miss.Martin" Doctor walked in smiling."We are glad you woke up. Let me check you and I will let you know when can we discharge you."

"Sure" I smiled which made me realize that even my cheek was bruised.

I found Ryan no where in the room.

"Ryan left" Sally said.

"What?Why?" I asked.

"He has some work to do. He has been here for the whole week skipping his work-"

I cut her asking "For whole week? I was here for a whole week??!!"

"Yes.My dear.You were partly awake and partly asleep. We thought you'd go into coma. But you are here all awesome. So, I told him that he can leave and I can take care of you." She said with a wink.

"Oh.Okay" I replied.

Sally was looking at me with a devilish smile, which a friend gives to a friend when his/her crush passes by.

"Don't give me that look you idiot." I slapped her arm with my 'not broken' hand.

"Miss.Martin, We want you to stay still to do our work" The nurse said with a fake smile.

Sally stuck out her tongue at me.

"Tell me how did I get here?How did you know that I was attacked" I asked Sally with serious epression.
