Veronica's POV

The bright light hit my eyes gently and I heard the chirps of birds in a soft tone as if I was being waking up to enter into the dream land.

"Your lips are like rose petals and I have never longed so much to kiss anyone."

I opened my eyes with a gasp hoping that memories aren't from a dream but reality. Slowly turning my head to the right, I studied the figure lying beside me.

I feel an instant Deja vu. It is like one of those dreams I dreamed about Ryan being shirtless beside me on the bed.

How beautiful it is, to have dream come true after chain of nightmares. I can through the pain all over again to live this moment.

He loves me so much. He makes me feel beautiful than ever. Is this how the people in love felt? How lucky are those who get true love. It makes this world a heaven.

I returned home from the same way I came from and noticed that my parents have returned. Greeting them a good morning, I moved to the bathroom and enjoyed my bath playing those moments I caged in my mind.

Just a month to complete my college and I would be free from my past like it never happened.

I'll be entering a brand new life and give it a new start.

Ryan and I along with Sally and Aaron can go on a trip.

This is a perfect day!

I got myself into pair of torn jeans and a t-shirt with a pair of sneakers. Standing in front of the mirror, I looked at my face. His words kept repeating in my head and I no longer needed artificial blush on my face.

My life is getting better.

Before I called up Sally, I read a message which turned my feels upside down.

'Veronica,

I hope I am not too late to say this. Ryan and Aaron aren't cousins. Aaron used me to get Ryan closer to you. I am not even sure if they have any links with Adrian. I want you to be careful.

I am sorry.'

Ryan's POV

I drove the car to office skipping breakfast. It was an important day for my future as I was about to meet the clients who'd be contributing a major role in my company.

While I waited for the signal to go green, I identified two female figures fighting on the footpath and a guy trying to separate them. One of them was very familiar.

As soon as I identified her, I drove my car into parking lot ignoring the signal I just broke.

"Veronica!" I shouted, "Stop!"

She raged like a tigress on the other girl ignoring me. I pulled her back holding her waist and she hadn't stopped fighting.

"Let go of me!" She struggled in my tight grip."I am going to tear her into pieces!"

"Have you lost your mind?" The guy who seemed younger to us shouted at Veronica.

"Bob! You stay out of this!" Veronica hawked.

I calmed them down by taking a promise from Veronica that she wouldn't hurt the poor girl who standing there who has her t-shirt almost torn.

I wonder how people ignored this cat fight and haven't reported to police.

"How dare you lied to mom and dad? And to me?!" Veronica roared to Bob, who I suppose is her brother. "You told you were going to mountaineering and you're here with a girl who swore me?"

"That's past and You don't control my life" With that, He stormed away with the girl.

Veronica stood in disbelief, taking heavy breath.

"I will drive you home." I said, politely.

"In your dreams" She started walking away.

What is wrong with her? I thought everything was clear after our last night's cuddle.

That kiss.

It was my second kiss and my first one wasn't such a great memory but a regret.

I was drunk when I kissed her and took no step more. That was the time I ever got drunk. Slowly my friends faded away and only thing I was left with was a dream. A dream to be build and successful company with Veronica by my side.

Breaking from my thoughts, I ran behind Veronica to know why she was mad. Grabbing her hand, I stopped her from taking a step forward.

"Why are you so mad at me? It was your brother who lied to you."

"Really?" She raised her eye brow, "Haven't you ever lied to me?"

I sensed strange coldness in her voice. Her eyes no longer seemed warm and beautiful. They turned cold and angry. "Think about it Ryan, Haven't you ever lied to me?"

I was scandalized.

"No, I did not lie to you."

"This might be your last chance to confess." She said in firm tone but her eyes expressed the hurt in her heart.

I kept quite still wondering what she was talking about.

"Aaron and you are not cousins, are you?"

----

I stormed into Aaron's room where he laid back watching cricket.

"What did you tell to Veronica?" I asked suppressing my anger.

"Dude! You were supposed to be in the meeting now. Why are you here on such a silly topic?"

"Hell with the meeting!" I hissed.

"Why did you reveal that we aren't cousins while you took a promise from not to reveal it to anyone?" I continued grabbing his collar. "What game are you playing Aaron?"

"I had to tell the truth to Sally. I could not lie to her anymore." He replied with no regret.

"Could not lie to her anymore? Really? When did start being serious about her?" I mocked, "As far as I remember, she was just a toy to you."

"I can't believe what veronica did to you. She is trying to break our seven year friendship and you are easily getting into her words."

"Don't speak a word against her Aaron! If you did not tell her, how did she get to know it?" I smashed the flower pot beside me."If you really considered me your friend, you would've let me know before hand."

"Why would she be mad at you when it is her who is hiding her past?"
