The next day Izogie and Solana reported to training as normal. Izogie was colder and more stern which didn't go unnoticed by Nanisca and Amenza.

Solana on the other hand was just watching. She hoped Izogie would've said something by now. She was impatient but, she wanted to be respectful of Izogies space. She hurt her and she was grateful that Izogie was willing to think it over. She could only pray from here.

After training the women separated off to their own ventures.

"Izogie!"

Izogie stopped walking turning to face Nanisca.

"Follow me."

Izogie sighed and followed the woman to her home. She sat on the couch as the woman found something to drink.

"Here." she handed her a flask which, Izogie took willingly.

She sat beside Izogie, "Talk, what's going on between you and Solana? Things have been off for a while."

Izogie side eyed her before taking a deep breath and trying to hand her the flask back.

"Keep it."

The warrior shrugged, taking a swig before speaking.

" I love her."

"And?"

"She hurt me. She broke up with me and then poured her heart out last night. I love her, no. I am in love with her. There is no one else for me. But, how can I guarantee she wont hurt me again because she's having intrusive thoughts."

"You can't, Izogie. That's the risk with love. You won't know the different outcomes or possibilities. You go for it. Anything can happen. Would you rather know you died thinking of all the possibilities or know you died giving it a chance. Yes, it's scary and you will get hurt even unintentionally. But, you have to give it a shot. The worst she could say is no and we both know she won't. Though I do know you're still going to think this over, huh?"

" I just need a couple days to breathe and recoup. I'm scared if I talk to her now it won't end well. I'm still angry."

" Good, you are making the right steps. Take the time you need to communicate correctly and healthily. Just don't think and speak from your anger. Look within your heart and speak from there. You both have your own trauma and you both have your own growth to do. I'm going to head upstairs though, stay as long as you need."

Izogie nodded. She knew she wanted Solana more than anything but her hurt was overwhelming right now. She drunk until the flask was empty and made herself comfortable on the couch. She soon found sleep as her thoughts calmed.

Solana on the other hand was a mess. She was laying in her bed crying and holding her pillow. She hated the hurt she caused Izogie. Her thoughts consumed her worse than before. Haunting thoughts telling her all the reasons she didn't deserve her, she wasn't enough, and that she was too damaged. Another intrusive thought invaded her mind. One she hadn't heard in a long time. One that left scars on her wrists and scars from battles that faded over the years. She wiped her tears and took a deep breath before ignoring the thought. She prayed she could stay strong and carry that strength with Izogie.
