Jaden and Ranboo were getting more and more used to meeting each other in person. It was less awkward as they greeted each other, and Jaden invited Ranboo in, and they ordered food to share.

"I don't think I've ever become such good friends with someone in such a short time," commented Jaden, his knees to his chest on his couch.

Ranboo was sitting nearby, his legs crossed on the couch as they barely paid any attention to whatever was on Jaden's TV. "I mean, yeah. We did meet not that long ago. But I don't think that's really weird."

"Yeah, you're probably right. Thank you for coming here, despite the fact that last time I fuckin' kicked you out."

"Oh, no problem. I mean, how could I not show up? We needed to have an actual experience at your apartment."

"YOur house is spacious and all, but my flat is cozy, so..."

"Honestly? I like it. But you being here might be biasing me."

"Ah, yes, of course. Biased."

"Look, all I'm saying is, I like the space a lot when you're the one who owns it."

Jaden rolled his eyes and pulled a blanket off of the back of the couch, silently inviting Ranboo to share it with him. Ranboo moved a bit closer, and holy crap, this was actually driving Ranboo insane.

"Are we actually gonna watch something? We should pick something to watch. Do you like horror movies?"

"I like horror," agreed Ranboo.

"Horror it is."

Relaxed on the couch, the two began watching some random horror movie that Jaden found on Netflix. It wasn't horribly scary, but it wasn't boring, either. It was a good mix, in Ranboo's opinion.

Jaden was a rather touchy person, Ranboo noticed, but he didn't mind. He leaned on Ranboo as they watched the movie, and Ranboo resisted the urge to move closer in any way, especially when Jaden would jump slightly and laugh at himself after which, god, Ranboo was going insane.

This felt like a date. Jaden clearly did not think it was a date.

The food they ordered arrived, some restaurant Jaden recommended, and they finished the movie while they ate. It felt so much like a date, and Ranboo couldn't shake that feeling, but when you can tell, you can tell.

Jaden didn't see it as a date.

Ranboo was fine with that, he hoped he would keep being fine with that, but god, who knew? This was so difficult. All of this.

He'd figure it out. Somehow, he'd figure it out, and he'd be content with whatever this was.
