"Asia, wake up." My mom is shaking me gently. I hum in response, eyes still closed. "We're going to the mall." She smirks, which makes me sit up. "Why are you smiling like that?" I asked. She only does what when she's up to something. "You'll see, my love. Get ready we leave in an hour." She walks out my room. I take a shower and wear out a simple outfit. I do have a slight headache but some medicine will fix that. Mom is downstairs waiting for me, "Finally, let's go." She says impatiently, going to the door. "I didn't even take that long!" I defend myself chasing after her.
Me and my mom are walking around until someone calls her name. "Reina?" We look in that direction and see Mrs. Morales with Miles.
"Rio? What a surprise to see you here! It's been too long!" It's obvious she's lying from her tone of voice. "We need to catch up! let's get some coffee!" Mrs. Morales and my mom walk off to the food court. Ohh. This is what she was planning, leaving me and Miles together. He looks annoyed with me, "did you think of our prom colors?" I say trying to break the tension. "Oh, you still wanna go?" I nod. "I was thinking black and purple." He suggests. It's actually not a bad idea and we both like purple. "Sounds great and we could probably find something to wear here." I add, looking around the mall.
I find a store and Miles follows me "I'm sorry about last night, I should've just told you that I wasn't ok upfront." I say turning to him.

"It's fine. You still my girl or whatever." He rolls his eyes. "So we dating now?" I smile he smile back. "Come on boyfriend!" I pull Miles into the store. When we walk in I see two mannequins, one has a deep purple ombre mermaid dress with feathers and the other one has an all black suit with that same deep purple on the bow tie and vest. I stop to take in the beauty before my eyes, Miles stops too. "This the one." Miles whispers "Why are you whispering?" I whisper back. "Can't let them know our next move. Follow me." He leads me to the rack with the dress and suit on it. I pick up the dress Miles picks up the suit.
After we buy our prom clothes, we sit down on a bench by a fountain. I kiss his cheek and lean on him. I wanna stay like this forever. Out of nowhere our parents appear in front of us smirking. We both jump a bit.
(time jump bc I wanna get to fun part It's now the day of prom now 😇)

I'm looking real cute with my 40 inch blonde body wave wig. I put on my dress, earrings, necklace, and some sneakers because you never know what might happen. People be crazy especially when it come to prom. "Asia, Miles is here!" My mom yells. My mannn! I bet he looks so good in that suit. "Okay! Bye Mami!" I hug my mom before going outside. When I got out there my jaw dropped. He was leaning on the limo with his arms crossed, this man looked absolutely scrumptious, exquisite, beautiful, majestic, and divine with. I actually stood there staring for a whole 5 minutes before he noticed.
"You coming or not, Ma?" He smirks when he see me. "Oh right let's go. I snap out of my trance as I go down the stairs.
Miles opens the limo door for me "thank you boyfriend" "no problem girlfriend" We get to the gymnasium the theme was out of this world so it's decorated with space themed objects. There's even a solar system above the gym. I wonder how they got they got those up there. Everyone looks so nice except Kiersten who still has bruises and bumps from the other day. "I'mma get some fruit punch" I tell Miles before I go to the drink table.
"You look pretty, Asia." I look up from the fruit punch bowl, it's Nate. "Is you following me?" I side eye him because why is he everywhere I am?
He laughed "I go to this school too, shorty." I just noticed he had his locs in a bun. "You look nice too I guess." I take a sip of the juice. "You guess? Girl you know I look good." He scoffed. "I seen you come in with Miles, It really should've been you and me." The amount of confidence he has is actually crazy. "Well it's not. Me and Miles locked in" Gotta defend my man. "We'll see about that.." he mumbles. What do he mean by that? Nate be tweaking sometimes I went back over to Miles. "You having fun?" I ask. "I'm bored. Nothing really happening." He shrugs, he not wrong it is kinda boring here.
It's an hour into party when teachers get in the middle of the room with sashes and crowns. "Ahem! I would like to announce this year's prom king and queen. And they are...Miles Morales and Myasia Alvarez!"
