Ch. 9 The Yule Ball

Aubrey's POV:

Well now I have Mattheos snap and that's weird as hell. I keep thinking about it. Do to keep my mind off of it I decided to go dress shopping with Pansy. We tried on a lot of dresses but none were for me. Of course with her luck, Pansy found the perfect one on her first try. She got a black sparkly dress that went to her ankles. She looked hot. Then she asked me, "Wanna go somewhere else for a dress." I nod. We go to another building rhat had gorgeous dresses but when I tried them on I didn't like them. Until, I tried in a dark green dress that was beautiful. I definitely was gonna get it. After we bought our dresses we decided to take a picture in our dresses.

Then we put them in bags and brought them back to hogwarts. The Yule Ball is in a day and I am excited as hell. I texted Cedric that we should be matching so I have a green dress and he has a green tie. He texted back saying he loved the idea. I love him.

Mattheo kept in boasting about going to the ball with Astoria but I couldn't of care less. "Come on love, don't you care?" "Not a little." His smirk died down. "And why is that?" "Because why would I care that your going to the dance with somebody else?" He thought about it. "Hmmmm, because I'm the best?" I smirk. "Definitely not." Then he smiled. What the fuck. It looked like a real smile but wasn't. Then he pulls me in by the waist and backs me up into a wall. "I know you care princess," he whisperes softly. "And I'm gonna get you to say it." I look at his nice chocolatey brown eyes. They were nice and pretty. Shit what's wrong with me. Their not nice or pretty their stupid. Extremely stupid. I take his arms and out them off of my waist. "Leave me rhe fuck alone." And I walked away.

Mattheos POV:

Ohhhh she's feisty. Wait no, no she's not. Even if she was I wouldn't like it. Ok anyways, I need Astoria to say yes now. I lied to make her jealous but it seems to not be working. I was gonna ask Astoria now but I'm nervous. Who fucking cares. I walk down the hallway and see her walking to the dormitories. I run to catch up with her and when I do I smile. "Hi Astoria." She looks around. "Um hi." "I was wondering," Spit it out Mattheo, come in you got this. "Would you like to go to the ball with me?" Oh shit her eyes widened. Oh shit she's about to say something. "I'm sorry but Im already going with someone else." I zone out real quick. Oh no. Oh no no no. She looks at me. "Im really sorry!" She says before running off. Well, my life is fucked up now. I told everyone Im going with Astoria. It's fine, I'll just go alone. It's perfectly ok. Im just gonna have to face Aubrey laughing at me. That's fine.
Utterly fine.

I walk back to the dorms and go straight to bed. Well tomorrows the day I will lose to Aubrey. Don't focus on that, focus on sleep.

Aubrey's POV:

Oh my god it's the day. Yes it's the day. Dumbledore canceled all school things so we can have the day to get ready. Me and Pansy go back to Hogsmeade and find a shop that does your hair. Of course we got it done and yeah it took 2 hours but it looks incredible.

We fell in love with our hair. Then we went back to the Castle and put on our dresses and makeup, which took 2 hours because me and Pansy kept on messing it up. Finally we got it right and we looked hot. It's now three o' clock. So now we have to wait 3 more hours.

Finally it passes and we head downstairs. We wanted to have a grand entrance so we walked down the staircase slowly. We laughed as we did it because we looked cringy as hell. We decided to come early because it's better being early than late. I went looking for Cedric to see if he came down yet but I couldn't find him anywhere. Finally I checked in the very far corner. I found him. "Cedric I-." But no. He was with someone else. Talking to someone else. Kissing someone else. When he heard his name he turned and when he saw me his eyes widened. He stopped kissing the girl and ran towards me. I was in shock. I stopped breathing sand began crying. Cedric came up and tried to give me a hug but I pushed him away. When he kept trying to give me a hug U lost energy to push him. So instead I went, "Get off of me!" That got peoples attention. Then he tried for a hug one more time but I saw him getting punched in the face. I turn to see that it was Mattheo. And our whole friend group was behind him. As the boys tormented Cedric, Pansy went to me and gave me the biggest hug imaginable. I cried in her arms. Finally Cedric ran away and the boys' voices changed from scary to soft. "It's ok." Enzo and Blaise said. "I hated him from the start." Theo and Draco say. They all look at Mattheo and he goes. "He was a piece of shit anyway." I laugh. Pansy takes me to the bathroom and cleans me up. We redid the makeup so I looked good as new. We came back out and the boys were waiting. Theo, Blaise, and Enzo all had girls with them. Pansy gave me a push towards Mattheo as she walked to Draco. She pushed me hard where I fell into his arms. "Hi." I said. "Hi." He looks me up and down and in a soothing tone goes, "You look attractive, love." I smile. "As do you." Then to both of our suprise, I put my hands around his neck. He puts his hands around my waist. Then I realize something. "What about Astoria?" He winces. "Yeah so she didn't actually want to go with me." I laugh and out my head down. "Don't laugh." he says. I was about to say something back when someone said, "After party in the common room,be there."
