{Skye's POV}
I'm just so sick of this. The life I'm living, I'm just so ready to give up. I sat on the grass in the courtyard of my school with my legs pulled to my chest. When I glanced up, I realized a heap of kids standing around me, laughing. I just put my head back down into my knees and listened to all the things people were saying about me. It's either that, or I can speak up for myself and get beat up. The choice was obvious.I heard a voice coming from my left side, "Look who we have here, the biggest slut of the school, who did you sleep around with last night?"
Rumors can take over your life...
I attempted to ignore them, and thought about all the rumors that flooded the school when I was a sophomore. I was one of the most popular girls in school, everyone loved me, but, things change when the people you love go against you. I felt a tear stream down my face, then they started flowing like a waterfall.
I was dating a guy that didn't go to my school, his name was Justin. When we were first together, it was amazing. He was so good to me, but after he got to know me, he used me. He hit me, punched me, kicked me. The biggest mistake I made was not speaking to someone. When you're in a relationship like that, there's no getting out of it alone. Towards the middle of sophomore year, I came to school with bruises and cuts up my legs and on my face and neck. I had woken up late that morning and didn't have the time to cover it up with makeup. That day in school, the kids laughed at me. They all told me I had a rough night. Rumors spread like wildfire. A few months later, I was the biggest slut this school has ever had. I'm a senior now, and those rumors still follow me. Justin moved away in the beginning of junior year, and he broke up with me. Since then, relationships are something that I want to stay as far away from as possible.
Sometimes, living begins to get too hard for me.
The bell rang, and everyone scattered from around me. I got up, brushed off the grass from my black leggings, and headed to first period.
