{Dalton's POV}
School was the same everyday. All the lectures in every class and note taking. I ran to my car after the dismissal bell rang, staring down at the ground. I didn't want to talk to or make eye contact with anyone. I felt sick to my stomach with the thought of Graham, and what I got him into for making him go to that school. Being a new kid isn't easy, not for him at least.

Before I knew it, I was in the school parking lot. I continued walking, until I bumped into a girl, a little shorter than me.

I looked up into her beautiful hazel eyes and instantly lost myself. My jaw dropped at the sight of her. I couldn't get my words out, I just continued staring.

Finally, I looked into her eyes, and quickly apologized for walking into her. She replied right away, and turned to walk away.

"Hey, I never got your name! Hello?" I yelled in her direction, but before I knew it, she was out of sight. I lost my chance.

When I saw her, my heart stopped and I couldn't seem to catch my breath. She was so beautiful. I couldn't shake the feeling I got when I looked into her eyes.

I snapped myself back into reality, and walked to my car, to pick up Graham and then head home.

I pulled up to Graham's elementary school, and saw him sitting on the front stoop, alone. I glanced at my watch, noticing I was ten minutes late, everyone else has gone home.

I got out of the car and ran to him, giving him a reassuring hug. He was tearing up.

"Dalton, I-I was s-so scared. I-I didn't know where y-you were." He struggled to talk, catching his breath between stutters. He was still crying, but I held him, and told him I was okay. I rubbed my hand through his messy dirty blonde hair, and kissed his forehead. I was the closest thing he had to a parent, therefore I had to know how to handle things like this.

I picked him up, and carried him to my car, placing him in the backseat, and buckling his seatbelt. I lightly shut his door, and jumped into the front seat of my blue Mini Cooper. By the time we took off, his tears dried and he was fast asleep. A small smile creeped upon my face, and I drove off, back to our tiny, and shared apartment.

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. Busy weekend, I met Cimorelli and went to their concert so I was consumed and swamped with stuff! Thanks for reading. Vote and comment if you want more chapters. :)
