It was late and the Na'vi all sat with each other as they ate, Mireya kept to herself tonight as she hid away in the trees above them. She ate silently and saw the Suli's enter though one was missing. She counted the members over again but there was only four. A branch bent behind her and her ears twitched as she listened behind her, the branch she was leant again moved slightly. There was one of them.
"Mireya, I see you." He signed as well and sat down and ate silently afterwards and stared down at the Na'vi.
"How did you find me?" Mireya asked, she sat upright interested and her eyes scanned his bruised face. Neteyam smiled at her but winced as a cut re-opened.
"I saw you. I think you forget Mireya, I come from the forest. I always look up. You, you look down." Neteyam told her, "but I also saw that you were missing from the group." He looked down to where her family was. Her ears lowered and her shoulders slumped and she looked to Neteyam.
"I cannot face my brother right now. How are you doing? And Lo'ak and Kiri?" Mireya reached out to inspect his face further.
"They're okay." He mumbled as he watched her, her fingered trailed along his face and over his freckles until they met the cut on the corner of his mouth.
"And you?" She pressed again and his ears lowered, Mireya turned her head slightly and dropped her hands back into her lap.
"I'm fine." He shook his head and faced away from her and carried on eating. Mireya nodded and bowed her head. "My father is not impressed. He made Lo'ak apologise to Aonung." Neteyam looked down and frowned, Mireya's eyes widen and she quickly stood up.
"Where's Lo'ak?" Mireya asked and Neteyam shrugged and the two jumped down and Mireya grabbed Aonung who was snickering.
"Where is Lo'ak?" She hissed and Neteyam appeared behind her and Aonung gulped and lowered his gaze towards the sand. "Aonung!" Her brother cried out in pain as she pulled at his queue.
"I sent him beyond the reef. On his own." Mireya's eyes widen and her tail fell and she felt Neteyam shift and grabbed ahold of Aonung and dragged him across the woven bridge. Mireya followed closely behind until they reached Jake Suli.
"Tell him what you told me." Neteyam ordered and Aonung slapped his hand away and looked towards Toruk Makto. Mireya looked in the distance and saw movement behind the reef and she squinted and moved towards the edge as the three spoke.
"Send search parties out for you son. Aonung, go to our father and inform him of the situation." Mireya ordered as she quickly turned to face them, she then dived into the water and Huntress nudged Mireya's leg. She made the bond and dived into the water once more as she searched for Lo'ak.
"Lo'ak!" She called out and Huntress screeched and grumbled when they resurfaced, Mireya looked above the water and beneath her and her shoulders slumped. Maybe she saw nothing. She looked back and saw Na'vi gathering around the canoes, Ilu's, and their Skimwing. Some searched in the air while others dived into the water.
Mireya looked back at the water and saw splashes and she frowned slightly and moved Huntress forward. "Lo'ak?" She called out, and a few seconds pass and the boy appeared from behind the rock. "Lo'ak." Mireya sighed and dived into water and swam towards him. "Are you okay?" She grabbed the boys arms and checked them over but he was fine. There was one cut on his left arm but the sea salt water seemed to have soothed the wound.
"I'm fine." Lo'ak avoided her gaze and followed Mireya towards her Skimwing.
"Get on up and hold on." Lo'ak nodded and climbed up onto Huntress and sat behind Mireya and held onto her. The Skimwing swam through the water and flew up in the air and Mireya yelled out in victory.
