Mireya embraced the forest as the first week living away and in hiding. Only ever hunting late in the day, but it worked. Neteyam knew what was good to hunt in the forest, Mireya knew what was good to eat in the ocean. They were constantly stocked up on food as they were the only Na'vi on the island. Their own Tsahik and Olo'eyktan.

Her arrow was aimed at a creature as Neteyam watched from above, smiling in pride when she released her grip and the arrow landed straight to the heart. Mireya ran towards the animal that cried, her hunting knife at the ready as she prayed for the creature to pass through Ewya before ending his suffering.

Neteyam jumped down from the tree and walked up behind her, he knelt down beside her and Mireya looked to the side. Her eyes meeting his yellow ones, still looking back at him she picked the creature up.

"What?" Her voice was almost too quiet for a whisper but Neteyam heard her loud and clear. The two had grown used the silence in the forest and only hearing the river, the powerful waterfall, and the chirps of the forest and creaks of old trees.

"Your aim has gotten better." He smiled and Mireya's ears lowered and she felt her cheeks heat up, Neteyam smirked and turned his head away. Even after almost a year of knowing each other, she still blushed under his words. The two walked back to their hanging Marui in the tree, it had become more of a home inside. The two had collected what they could and mixed it with the forest and the ocean. Neteyam had crafted more toys and one being Tsurak in memory of Huntress.

"Were you stalking me?" Mireya then stopped outside the trees that lead to their Marui. Neteyam chuckled and took the creature from her hands. Mireya gasped and slapped his arm, he only laughed even more and climbed up the tree. Mireya followed behind him and tugged at his tail when she had the chance.

"I wouldn't call it stalking? I only stalk prey, Yawne. I was admiring you and your beauty." He dropped the creature to the floor and turned to face his mate who scoffed at his words as she placed her bow down.

Neteyam growled under his breath at her scoff and grabbed her wrist and pulled her into him. "Look at me, Ma Rey." Mireya gulped at his lowered voice and looked up at him, his yellow eyes were dark and a frown was etched onto his face. His braids fell forward and tickled her face.

"You are so beautiful." Neteyam told her, his hands caressing her face softly and Mireya nodded and then leant into his touch. Her own eyes looking all over his face, the way the patterns drew across his face, to the feather that hung from the beads that his mother gave him as a gift.

"I think you're beautiful too." Neteyam chuckled softly and leaned in closer, their noses nudging each other. Mireya leans up slightly and kissed him softly.

"Come." He grabbed her arm not giving her a chance of a second thought, the two ran out of the Marui and swung across the vines from tree to tree. Running across fallen tree that acts as a bridge over the running river that lead to the ocean. The soft miss beneath their feet lit up at each step, bugs buzzed and hummed away from them as they ran through the forest with no care.

Racing each other up trees and floating rocks, balancing themselves on the smallest branch. Mireya laughed as she fell from the branch and landed in the water, Neteyam covered his mouth as he looked down at her. "A-are you okay?" He asked and jumped down, he landed on the edge of the riverbank and held out his hand for her to grab onto and pull herself up.

Mireya nodded to his question, she wiped away the wet leaves from her legs and arms and grabbed his hand. Just as Neteyam thought she was going to pull herself up, she pulled him into the river with her. "Shit." He gasped out as he splashed into the river, he glared at her when he lifted his body out of the water and she only giggled at him.
